Dominon Homes built my home in Creekview Estates in December of 2012. By spring of 2013 our driveway had chipped away over 100% of the driveway, the walkway and steps also. The front step had a huge crack across the front, which they 'fixed' and it had reappeared within 2 months. Dominion, thru Brad Morgan, totally denied any responsibility for the issue. They also told us that it was due to salt used on the roadway over the winter dripping off our cars. That really makes sense, especially with it being on the sidewalk and porch. If that was the case, shouldn't all the driveways in our subdivision look the same? There are a few, but not all. Dominion Homes does nothing but deny any issues a homeowner has. Even if they agree to do something about a problem - it is never carried out. There is no way a driveway, not even a year old, should have these issues. They should be made to stand behind their 'warranties' and their contractors. I would never build a house through them again, and I tell anyone I know not too.
We furnished the labor and material to paint a home under contract for Dominion Homes based in Dublin Ohio. We were a painting contractor for them for approximately 17 years when they decided to terminate our agreement by negotiation cheaper paint prices with one vendor combining paint and drywall and did not even give the other painter vendors which was four of us an opportunity to match the price. We did our last house for them in September and billed them the balance of the price of $1917.00 which is the contracted and agreed upon price for painting this home. After completing everything on this home with the exception of minor punchout they called and said they no longer needed our services to complete this home and brought in the one favored contractor to do a maximum of 8hours punchout work on the home. It has been almost 60 days on both of our remaining invoices on this home and we have not received our final payment as well my last 7 or 8 emails are being ignored and I am convinced at this point they have no intent of paying me for this house. i have reported them to the BBB of Central Ohio and they have sent them notice giving them 10 days to respond. I cannot file a mechanics lien against the home since it is now closed and being lived in.
