I have been a patron of DIxie Kitchen since my daughter while in college was a waitress there. The food was always fresh and heavenly. I have to assume that with changes of management it has fallen to the wayside in quality and service. As of late when I have gotten a craving for crawfish fritters and catfish beinville, I would go through GrubHub and place an order. I would get burnt fritters, missing sides to my order, but mostly bad service.
I would comment to Grubhub about this resturant and hope that they would take heed about an establishment that doesn't care enough to provide quality food anymore and have a reputation of great service. However, those items I mention haunt me and I try and give them another chance. Today, 4-3-2014, I tried again, I usually order 50.00 or more dollars of food. Today they were exceptional in providing the most horrible service you can imagine. I placed my order somewhere around six, the email from GrubHub stated that my food would be here 6:30-6:45, then another one came stating it would be 6:45-6:55. WHen 7:00 came, I realized something was wrong and checked grubhub and waited to 7:10 to alert Grubhub of a problem. Apparently the delivery had come and didn't have anything but my first nameonthe order, per him. He called but my phone wasn't right next to me. At about 7:30 I got my phone and called the number the driver left. I called the resturant and the manager stated that the food came back, he threw it out. I asked him well what about my order, are you going to resend it? He said I will have to charge you another delivery fee and we don't get any information but you first name and address, I said well, my doorbell doesn't have my first name on it. I said let me call GrubHub. Grubhub tols me they fax all the informaiton to the resturant that I place on that order; full name, address and instructions
I call the manager back and tell him this and ask him what is he going to do, He say nothing. I ask him for the corporate headquarters and he said he was the general manager and there was no one over him. Then he says that I guess I could resend you the food, I guess I can do that, then he proceeds to pretend he no longer could hear me and hangs up on me.
