I was shopping around for internet/TV packages. I called what I thought was Dish TV (got the number off the internet). Was offered a better deal than what DirectTV ( who I had) could offer at the time, so I switched to Dish and was to bundle with AT&T internet. I was told that the cable bill would be $42.17/month and the internet would be $29.95/month after tax for 12 months. I was told there would be no installation fee for the internet. Somebody claiming to be from AT&T called to verify everything and and in addition to the $29.95/month I was going to pay $7/month to rent a DSL modem until I bought one.
When I got a bill from AT&T it was for $166. I was told there was $100 installation fee, and that my rate would be $54/month. AT&T claims they do not bundle with Dish and they will not lower my bill . Dish TV claims that they cannot do anything about it as they did not sell it to me, but that Altitude Marketing sold it to me. Altitude Marketing keeps transferring me and then will eventually hang up or tell me they do no or cannot service my area.
AT&T will only give me a lower rate if I bunlde with DirectTV, but I am in contract with Dish TV now. I cannot break my contract with Dish or will have to pay $20/month X23 months early termination.
Calling 888-957-3474, Altitude Marketing, nobody could pull up that recorded line when I agreed to the contract. I spent close to 4 hours on the phone with AT&T, Dish, and the Marketing Company without lowering my bill to what I was initially told.
I am very frustrated with Dish TV. I have contacted them several times asking them why the program "Revenge" has not been on. Its supposed to be on Sunday evening at 9 PM. I have a lengthy contract with them and expect an answer why this is happening. This will be the third week in a row it will not be on. Today is Friday and I have fast forwarded to check to see if it will be on. Some other program is in its place again. I was told by tech support that its up to the Providers what programs are to be on. This program is a series that has been on for several years whichI have been watching. Please help. Thank you.
I have suffered through years of Dish TV. No one ever wanted to offer customer service. The system was down more than it was working. If I spent more time at home to actually WATCH TV, then I would have gotten rid of DISH a lot sooner. NOT ONCE did they ever offer a credit, either. When there is even one drop of rain, the service was down. I cannot believe that DISH has ANY customers at all!?! When a high dollar paying customer calls, there should be someone on the over end of that call to offer some assistance, and solve the problem. NOT excuse it away, as each time I called. It was explained as normal. NOT ANYMORE!! I AM DONE. I cancelled service today!!! NO MORE STRESS from DISH TV!!
