Dish overcharged my personal checking account and then to close the account paid the remaining balance of $15.00 and check cashed and then notified to pay more which lead to overcharging me along with bad service. I would like my money reimbursed for the installment (the second charge) and other overcharged dropped from my account. Thank you.
I have been a dish network TV Customer for many years. recently the launched a Phone & Internet bundling service.
I had mailed flyers received one per week and a door to door salesman for Dish also show up trying to get me to sign-up for the new service. I had Century Link for my phone & internet provider for several years.
They even offered a $50 Dish rewards MasterCard for accepting this offer. Dish Network told me I could keep my current 7 Mbs service and use the same DSL modem Actiontec PK5000 that I waas currently using if I switched to them. I was told that they lease the lines from Century Link so my Phone package and Internet would be the same with the only difference being that Dish would now bill me instead of century link.
Cost of this new service was $49.99 but they would give me a $35 monthly bundling discount. I asked how long the discount would last and was told it would continue for as long as I bundled the service.
I asked how much for the phone & internet and was told the Price was $49.99 befor the $35 bundling discount.
I asked again if $49.99 was for both services as i could not belive it and was told yes it was. I told the Dish rep Jeff that I spoke to that their had to be a catch and he said the price of the service may increase over the years but I would always get thr $35 bundling discount off the current price. Ok, I was sold and signed up for service to be activated on 5/8/14. I was told it would be seamless transition as I already had century link phone & interent but It may go out for a couple hours when they switch it over.
Werll on May 8 my intenet service stopped working but the phone worked ok. Called Dsih network customer service and was routed to the internet support desk and was told it could take until after 5 pm for it to come back up. At 5:45 pm it still was not working so I called back was routed to the interenet desk and waited on hold for 15 mins.
I spent the next 30 mins as they checked and doubled checked what was wrong. Then I was tolf they connected me to a faster line and my current modem would not work and I would have to buy a new one or rent one from them for a extra $10 a month. I said I have the same speed internet I had previously and was told the modem I had would work by their sales staff and I was not happy. Put on hold again for several mins and was told they could switch me back to a slower line and my modem would work. this would take up to a week to happen. Really great service Dish, you make a mistake and the customer is without service for a week.
The $50 Dish reward offer I received said I needed to go online and submit after service was activated.
I go to their site the next day and it can't find my offer so I call the number they provided for assistance.
Told they only process the offers and my name and address has not been sent to them by Dish and I have to call them.
call Dish and get transfered around, put on hold and then they tell me because I received the offer in the mail everything is automatic and I don't have to signup on the website as stated on the offer I received in the mail from Dish. I should receive the reward card in 8 weeks. I checked the website again and it does not show any rewards processing for me and I have the feeling I will have to call back in a few weeks to get the reward card that was promised.
I have been reading on the internet as I'm concerened and I'm finding the Phone is a extra charge and not included in the $49.99 price I was told by dish. I try to check my account online to see for sure but so far it's showing zero balance. I have a bad feeling however after the problems I have experienced so far woth teh so called seamless transtion from Centurylink to Dish service and billing.
Warning for all, When they tell you it's a seemless transition don't belive it. You could find yourself without internet service for several days to a week.

subscribe online to the services,
entered credit card details.
hit submit and the link broke.
called the representatives, told the situation.
he assured won't be double charged
and again subscribe to the package as suggested by the representatives over phone.
used the different email as suggested by him
my full name, address, credit car information all are same and the Dish world Internaitonal representatives helped me to get the package over phone.
few days later, my credit card has been charged twice,
(charged for first unsuccessful attempt, broken link)
they denied to reimburse the charge.
the lady representatives over phone accused me of fraudulent and kept me on hold
am i going to subscribe to their package again??
No and NEVER
