I'm paying 49.99 a month and now I got a bill of 94.35 there's different packages they put channels that we haven't asked for and then get charged for it something needs to be done about this and some people have the sane problem but don't know how to report it they said the installation was free but I ended up paying for the installation.
Simply, Direct TV was double billing me for services at the same location over a long period of time. Once I realized what was happening, I had to call numerous times to finally get a decision maker on the phone only then to be told that he couldnt refund any monies. Then after getting the original person on the phone with us in a conference call, she even conveyed that I had obviously been billed twice for some time to the supervisor and said I should be reimbursed.
This event went on for several weeks before the "supervisor" told me he would call and let me know of his decision. I never heard back and simply was spent on trying to get the money that was owed me.
I had since given up and cancelled my services,( both of them) until I came across this site..
I am sure I am not a isolated case as I work out of my home as I told them numerous times, but somehow they
set me up with two different accounts at the same location and never returned any monies and the supervisor never returned the call to me like he said he would. And after, his own assistant had also told him what had happened as well.
I had 2 accounts, 1 at a rental property, 1 at my home. My renter had their own account so I was going to cancel my rental account. I was told I could merge the accounts to avoid cancellation fees so I said ok. Then another person from directtv told me they couldn't do that. Then a supervisor told me that the other person was wrong and I could merge to avoid the fee. She also said she would waive the fee because it wasn't my fault. Then another person said no merge, please pay. I cancelled both accounts due to complete frustration and absolute loathing of directtv customer service. I paid what I was told to pay and thought I was finally free of these cretins. However, I was told today that my account is in collection and I have to pay an additional approx $250 plus. Every person tells me a different story and doesn't know anything regarding what the previous persons told me. I talked with approx 5 to 7 different customer service people.
I called Verizon to connect my tv internet, & phone. They gave me a price & date they would install no mention was made that the tv provider was not Verizon.
the internet was installed with the phone by Verizon. The technician stated another party would install the TV. direct tv responded &other tech. Worked in the cellar etc. when he finished , I went outside & saw a tv dish on my roof.
i told the tech, I wanted a TV box & not a dish.
i canceled the direct tv order the next day. I was told to pack the equipment in a box that they would send me. i asked when would they take the dish down. They told me I had to hire a technician . They also said they did not take the dish back. I would have to dispose of it.
i am 82 yrs old , with disabilities. I have no way of taking this dish down. I do not want this dish to dispose of. i was scamed on getting this service. I called 3 different reps. I was told it was my problem to remove this dish & discard it.
After nearly 20 years of being a loyal customer at same address I had to move for health issues, they said on last bill they would prorate as I did not owe a full month, they did this Feb 7th well in March I got a visa card with Direct TV on it, I have called many times as all we can get here is cable,I live in a senior citizen building so no dish allowed. they refuse to give me my 34.00, I have no use for the card and they should have just took what I owed them, every company except Duke energy took another month from me... no such thing as honest big business any longer that I know of. Please help me recover my money back to my bank where they took it from..

Not once dod he say I was reponsabe for this guy lying, took all my money never gave me a reason, just too based upon all the fake smiles. I signed up for direct tv a year ago and was offered a two year contract with no price increase after the first year if I signed a contract that instant so I did, thinking they would honor their word about the two year contract for 29.99 wouldnt you know it that the price went up after a year, after arguing for 30 minutes they basically told me i was lying to them, I would have cancelled the contract but then would have paid hundreds of dollars in early termination fees, if I could have went through the phone I would have and then beat the shit out of everyone in the that office bottom line is they screw their customers over and don't give a s***
Direct TV has committed fraud and unauthorized removal of funds from our bank account. We have been loyal customers since 2009, never late on a payment, and out of contract with them since 2011. We have been dissastisfied with their services for quite some time and over the past year have spent many hours negotiating bill reductions as every three months they would increase the bill and reduce the service. Our Direct TV box failed and was no longer operational, which forced us to contact them once again for assistance. They offered to bring a "replacement" box at no charge and apology for the disruption in service...blah blah blah. They installed the replacement box and all seemed back to the normal increase of fees, reduction of service, etc. We decided to cancel service tired of going through the same song and dance of disenchantment and hours of BS on the phone. Upon cancellation, Direct TV informed us that there would be an early contract cancellation fee applied of $340. We have not been in contract with them since 2011, however they stated that the box installed in our home was a requested upgrade and put us in a 2-year contract. This is a blatant lie and we have been good about documenting all conversations, names, specifics, etc. In addition, we signed no 2 year contract when the replacement box was installed. After hours of trying to explain that this was an error on their part, they stated that there was nothing that could be done even up to the supervising end and we were given an address to submit a dispute of billing. Direct TV would not provide phone numbers to their Legal Department and they were to only be contacted via letter. That in itself is absolutely ridiculous that the Legal Department of Direct TV is unreachable by phone to resolve a conflict. The Direct TV supervising staff informed us that we were right and it could be resolved at this level. We drafted a letter to the Legal Department, Office of the President, Direct TV, INC, P.O. Box 6550, Greenwood Village, CO 80155-6550 which still has not been responded to. The worst was to come when we opened our American Express statement and saw that Direct TV had made an unauthorized charge to our card in the amount of $340. Direct TV is a company filled with liars, scammers, and thieves and we are more than upset about what has happened. We have researched this subject via the internet and have discovered that Direct TV is performing this scam nationwide and stealing from their consumers whenever a cancellation of service occurs. We will be following the guidelines of many others and filing a Civil Lawsuit in Small Claims Court to recover our money and also will be charging them loss of wages and court filing fees. The actions of Direct TV are criminal and we are hoping that our voice will be able to help others out there going through the same thing, and to inform people to not subscribe to Direct TV, and if you are leaning in that direction DO NOT PROVIDE ANY CREDIT CARD to hold on your account because they WILL steal from you.

I called Direct and asked the about the charge, it was $39.99 added to my bill. I was told that this was part of the NFL ticket package and I had to pay 6 payments of $39.99 a month until it was paid or until it renewed. I told the individual on the phone that I did not order this and I wanted it removed. I was promptly told that it was too late. I didn't respond to their notice for dropping this so it would stand and I would pay it because they would not remove it from my bill. I should have responded when they sent out the notice on my bill. They chose to send my bill on the internet and sometimes I get it and sometimes I don't. The black female I talked to was rude and discourteous in the end they cut off my service. Steer clear of this bunch of thieves. What happened here in the State of Texas is called slamming and I am considering filing some sort of charges on the CEo of Direct tv.

They gauge you to death at every turn. No more $100 plus bill per month for me. Realize now that you can watch anything and everything for FREE via internet and/or Amazon TV or the like for a fee of just $100 per year. Every TV show is on internet for free one day after it is shown on network tv.

We had directtv and my wife lost her job so we couldn't pay it.Had them to turn it off and we sent in all equiptment.On 10/26 they took out over $300 off a card I had used at one time to pay a monthly payment to them with.I didn't know they were doing this and I sure didn't give them permission to do so or even keep the card on file.Thia card was given to my son before he was deployed to Africa with the Army out of Ft.Bliss.This was away of sending him money.The card had money on it that he needed and they took it.When I called they said they didn't need permission to keep cards on file.These crooks have taking money from a US soldier and they don't give a damb.This company has no wright to be called American.This is not wright.I told them I'd do a payment plan if they'd put it back on card for him.They said it won't happen.l think the media should know how these people really are.Dont anyone use Direct.

I specificaly asked the rep when we signed up the following question " Is the monthly price going to stay the same?" and I was reassured the answer was YES. When I called to complain about the FAULS advertisment, I was told NEXT TIME READ the ENTIRE Contract.
I have heard from many of my friends and family members complaining about DIRECT TV mal practice, and I thouhgt it was exagerated. TODAY,,, I am one of those victims, and I will not stay scilent about it.
Please someone has to hear all those compalaints, and DO SOMETHING ABOUT. HELP get some resolution, this is NOT Rright.
