One of my gifts to my daughter this Christmas was a diamond candle from the Diamond Candle Co. She never dreamed she would win, but the idea was quite fun and in fact she did turn out to be one of the lucky ones...a ring sure would help curve the costs of her upcomming wedding. She burned the candle found her code and she and her fiance typed it into the ring reveal page on the Diamond Candle website....$5000 flashed on the screen!! They emailed the Diamond Candle Co immediately and they received a congratulations on your win email in return. She was then given instructions on how to choose the $5000 ring of her choice. She followed the instructions they gave her, but was unable to complete the process. She emailed the company over and over without a response. After weeks of no reply from Diamond Candle Co, I was able to locate a working phone number for the company. When I called the number, to my suprise, I spoke with the CEO. I explaned the issue and then he found all the emails my daughter had sent to his company. He apologized and said he would get right on it. I asked if anyone had ever seen a code in error. He said "no, that doesn't happen'. He confirmed my daughter was definitely a winner. I thought she would finally receive the ring she won. Unfortunately, several hours later we received an email saying my daughter saw the $5000 in error. It was a computer glitch and the employee who sent the congratulations email was new. We saw the $5000 flash on the screen, received a winning email and now Diamond Candle Co doesn't want to fulfill its obligation to my daughter.
