I had a specific need for a 7 passenger vehicle so I reserved a minivan on the Fox Rent A Car (owned by affiliate DFC Enterprises) site one month in advance of my trip. When I arrived at the Fox facility I was given a Dodge Journey (SUV) and was told by Kenny that it had a 3rd seat that folds up and had seating for 7. When I arrived to pick up guests to transport them to an event we found there was no 3rd seat. Embarrased and upset, I immediately contacted Kenny at Fox. I told him to speak with his manager as I would be looking for credit or compensation for my rental. When I checked in the vehicle, the price actually went up. I contacted the manager of the location (Vickie) after I returned home and she made up some story about how I had the option to get a minivan from a competitor and they would compensate me for any difference in cost. She also made up some story that I didn't complain until the end of my trip. Apparently they are hiding from the truth or Kenny is not telling the truth. Likely a combination of both. The issue was escalated to Fox Customer Service and they believed the affiliate's story instead of the customer. All along I had offered to pay for one-third of the rental charges. This was equivalent to the 4-day rental of a compact car. The matter has now been escalated to executives at Fox. Not sure if they will respond. I don't think this is representative of all Fox locations. Other complaints on Yelp about the Kansas City location makes me suggest you look at other alternatives.
