DesignCrowd offers a promotion to new customers to try the service and if the customer does not like the art for thier company logo, the money is given back. However, in the process they make you vote on the best art, even if you dont like any of it. Well, inadvertently, once you vote you waive your ability to get a refund. To add insult in injury because no business owner is going to go with bad art for their logo, the artisit is in India and does not understand English so you cannot even communicate corrections. This is the case even if you dont want to keep the art in the first place.
This is a bait and switch and a manuever for Design Crowd to quickly soak the consumer for $195 and the consumer walk away with nothing. When you ask for a refund they enforce upon you that you must use the art, which is terrible. The art was disproportioned, poor designed details and the artist does not speak english. DesignCrowd's idea of resolution is for one of ther customer service reps to be the middle man in communication with the artist. Not only is the highly ineffective and costly in time, the art is bad to begin with and so I would not want to take this measure to begin with.
I earned a payment of $999 on DesignCrowd.com. DesignCrowd takes a 15% fee from that. They say that there can be up to a fivery day wait before my money earned gets transferred to PayPal but it's been nearly a month and still no sign of my payment. I contacted them regarding this issue and have yet to hear from there. In fact throughout this whole time i haven't heard from them!
I am definitely not going to use DesignCrowd again, and I advise others not to either.
