I filled out a form to order a Free Trial for a Teeth Whitening Kit from Dental Pro at Home. The cost was $1.03 for a week supply & I had to cover the shipping fee. I did not see any condition that I would be charged $94.31 USD monthly, if I did not cancel within 8 days of ordering the sample.
Just today, I noticed TWO charges to my credit card. One on May 5th for $94.31 USD from Spark Whitening and another on May 7th for $94.31 USD from Dental Pro at Home. Dental Pro at Home must be a sister company or sell their customer lists to this other company, Spark Whitening, as I did not have any association with them. I then called my bank and was informed that I have new charges for the month of June from them. And have not even received the next months product.
This is how they SCAM you:
You fill in a form for the free trial.
It takes them several weeks to send you the product, but you only have 8 days to cancel from the date you fill in the form ("sign up"), even though you didn't receive the kit yet.
Once the monthly charges begin (without your knowledge), they tell you that you can only get a refund if you return the product with 15 days of the date you cancel. Now here's the catch...
In my situation, I signed up on April 27th. I asked them when they shipped the product, and was told it was sent on April 28th. I was charged twice (May 5th & May 7th). But didn't receive anything until June 6th!!! And by now, my June charges began.
As credit card bills come in a month later, I only noticed the May charges today. I called Dental Pro at Home to complain and cancel the monthly service I didn't know I had been scammed into. Many of their employees had hung up the phone on me as they knew it was a complaint. I finally talked to the supervisor named "Jason" who would not give me his lastname, only employee# 1377402. He said that he had the "highest authority" there.
He gave me 2 options: The 1st months charges were out of their hands. But I could get a full refund if I returned the product within 15 days of TODAY. Only problem is, they haven't shipped the product yet and last time it took over a month to receive. I told him that he knew very well he was part of a scam, as it was impossible to return a product with 15 days, that would not get to my door until 30-45 days. Which meant that the monthly charges would continue.
So my steps so far have been to cancel my credit card, to prevent any further charges.
Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!
If you have any suggestions on how to recover the charges they scammed off me, please send me a message. Thank you.
Absolutely crooks! In less than 2 months they had racked up charges of over $700 on our credit card - in that they added 2 companies with separate charges that charged for mystery products that were NEVER delivered. When I called customer service they played stupid and had the nerve to tell me to stop swearing! Beware of this scam!
Logged in for two free £1 trails only after paying I found that they were going to start taking £62 twice a month out of my bank card , attempted to find the cancel button they mentioned in the sheets of acceptance documents which I read it did not exist also to email them this did not work either, then I looked them up as a company ( panic !) the reports of so many customer who lost money, they took £1.54 from my account instantly this was to open the money channel for future with drawls , this I shall write off due to my stupidity,My next course of action was to cancel my bank card and explain to my bank why and send an immediate letter to Dental Pro at Home to say that I was led to believe I was signing up for a free offer and that I did not want any further dealings with them.
I can't believe I sent away for the free trial that was on offer and now I have been charged twice in Sept and now again in Oct racking up a bill of voer £200 as the charges are deared in Oct for some reason!! Don not but from this company. I have emailed them 2 days ago to ask hoe I return the products and get the but have had no reply. I am going to contact my credit company to let them know about this!
Like others who have already left a review, I signed up for a free trial expecting to receive a no obligation trial kit - that is what I signed up to on their website. A $1 trial + shipping.
It was only weeks later when I checked my account that over $240 dollars had been taken from my account in 2 months since signing up for the free trial.
When I called to state that I had only received the trial shipment and 1 other shipment and I wanted to cancel, I was advised that the second shipment was on its way and I was unable to claim any refund.
I am hoping that this is now cancelled as advised on the phone and I will not incur any further charges but have also advised my bank of these mystery dealings and I hope you do not fall prey to these f***ing b******s!
BE AWARE :Here is the catch: when you go for it they will ship to you not only sample but also additional product. The additional product you can return or keep it for 9.41$ . If you return it :the cost of shipping it is 10-20$ . If it will not get there on time they will charge you 92.13$ for not returning it on time.
To summarize: the cost is not 1.20$ (US) but 1.20 + 9.41 = 10.61$ US .
It does not make sense to ship it back because it cost you more.
For two products (Spark Whitening) multiply the numbers by 2. It will cost you 21.22$ US at least.
I am having the same problem as everyone else. I have stopped my credit card but don't know how much more they have taken out until I get my next statement. Rats have more about them than these creatures.
After signing for the trial, they charged my card £61 directly; it was thorough one-sided action! really scammer!!!! By the by, please do not put the trial product on your teeth!!!
