I went into deland kia on feb 28th. While waiting around they talked me into test driving some cars. I ended up getting a new car. When I went home the numbers didnt add up so i missed work the next day to go over the paperwork with them. The gentleman I spoke with was very rude and I told him I just wanted to get my car back. I told him I was willing to pay whatever I needed to do that and he told me that was the one thing that would not happen. The next day I had to go back because the radio wasnt working correctly so they had to fix it.I also told them the brakes werent right and they back it up two feet and tell me no they are ok.
So then they tell me that they already had me financed and I couldnt get my kia back which i never had an issue with. I looked at the paperwork again and saw that the price they charged me was 6000 over the sticker price. They basically told me there was nothing I could do. I tried forever to get my car back. I gladly would have paid something to get it back. Mine was paid off.
Fast foward to the end of march. I was still not financed and was getting frustrated especially since they lied and told me i was financed back on feb 28th. I went in and told them since they didnt finance me they should just let me out of this deal and be done with it and make a customer happy but no. Again the rude man was there. The general manager was never there and I have since found out he no longer works there. I told them I would not provide any other financial information since they were treating me so poorly. I told him I didnt want him to continue pulling my credit and he told me he could do whatever he wanted . Then I was so tired of arguing . I get in the car and he comes out and hes like i want you to leave the new car here. I, was like are you going to give me my car back he was like no. He threatened to call the cops and report the car stolen even though I had all the paperwork for it. I was on the phone with someone and they couldnt believe the way he was talking to me.
Anyway after getting multiple denial letters from dealers and after they continued to pull my credit when I told them not to pull my credit they got it approved on april 4th. The breaks are still not working. I dont want to keep going there when they dont help at all. For someone to treat me the way he did is disgusting. I wouldnt treat anyone that way especially someone who has purchased from my dealership in the past. They had the nerve in my bbb report on them to say i was the one threatning them, I never did that .
I have learned an important and expensive lesson but I would never deal with them again.....
We walked in to test drive the Optma. We liked it and agreed to run the numbers. The sticker said $28,000 (the MSRP is under $24,000) and Internet pricing was $22,000, while the True Car estimated price among 8 Orlando dealerships was about $19,300. We told them we wanted to finance $20,700 which would include the purchase price of the car, dealer fees, taxes, tag and title, with a payment of $300 with the term variable to meet the payment.
Well, even though I had the True Car price, they kept referring to the $28,000 price. The best payment they could do was $378. Some guy named Joe came in after the sales person and the sales manager worked with us, and did not introduce himself, and barked "tell me what's going on" as if he didn't already know. We told him our expectations, and all we wanted to know was if they could make the deal. Joe was a bully from the moment he came in, and after about 2 minutes of him trying to get us to lease, downsize, buy used and other options we already said we didn't want, we said "we are done" and walked out of the dealership. Don't waste your time visiting this dealership. They are bullies, who use intimidation and high-pressure sale tactics to maximize their profit at your expense. Seriously, don't even walk in to the dealership!
