I went to the hospital because I was having suicidal ideations. So as I was in the ER, a woman that works at Del Amo hosptial came into my room and was telling me about how wonderful and fun Del Amo hospital was. She told me that I could play in grass and that I would feel better once I got there. There was actually no grass. When I arrived at Del Amo hospital that night, it was horrible. I was forced to show the woman my breasts and my butt cheeks. I arrived at the hospital on friday and I wasn't abe to see my doctor until monday.
When I finaly met my doctor, Doctor Fidel. He was horrible. He didn't look at me while I spoke to him and when I wasn't done speaking he just brushed me off and told me to leave his room. He also increased my medication from 50 milligrams of Zoloft all the way uo to 200 in just one week, without informing my mother. By the time I reached 200 milligrams I was drowsy and I slept for most of the day. There were also times when I scratched myself because the hospital and the doctor made me feel so depressed. My mother was also misinformeed and was told that I was doing well and that I was never depressed the whole time I was there, when in reality, I told Dr. Fidel every day that I was feeling depressed and that I wanted to kill myself. I highly recommend that no one goes to Del Amo hospital and if you end up with Dr. Fidel, you should ask for a different doctor.
My 16 year-old son was transferred to this facility on 1/17/14 from a different facility, and I was unaware of the transfer. The staff from Del Amo never called to notify me that my son was in their care, nor to get consent to administer medication. I had to call several places for almost an hour to figure out where my son was and when I finally got someone on the phone on 1/18, he was extremely unprofessional and wasn't paying attention to what I said. I had to repeat myself many times, finally asking for a case worker or the doctor. He told me the case workers didn't work on the weekends and the doctor would be available in about 90 minutes and would call me ASAP. It is now 0720 on 1/20 and I have yet to receive a call from anyone regarding the care of my son.
After reading the other complaints online I'm afraid that my son isn't getting the care he really needs.
