Day and Night Express is a Black Owned Trucking Company based out of Atlanta,Ga. The Owner is an Convicted Drug Dealer named Delta Eady out of Tennessee who was just recently released about 3 to 4 years ago from the FEDERAL PENITENTIARY SYSTEM who now runs a shady trucking company. I met this man thru an add posted on Craigslist, which promised to pay truck drivers $1000 weekly on salary! I contacted him via phone on Saturday Aug,16,2014 and was told to complete an application online! After doing so, he called me and scheduled for me to meet him the following day at a WalMart in Douglasville,Ga to sign some paperwork! I was then given some paperwork to go take a drug test that following Monday! I was also told that, if I started Monday I would be paid under salary that following Friday, that never happened! He came and got me that Tuesday and had me move trailers for him, upon which, the truck I was driving broke down about a mile and a half from where I was to deliver the trailer! I should of known then that this was a bad company! He worked me and never mentioned my pay, his girlfriend Sherri, who is also his SAFETY MAMAGER, AND FUEL MANAGER and Co-Owner then called me and told that I was supposed to be paid for the work I had performed!
I contacted him about my pay and was given $40. He came and picked me up the next day, that Wednesday and told me he had me a truck and a load to pickup and deliver for Thursday, but he had to get the permits, plates, and ifta stickers 1st! I pulled my 1st load Thursday which was supposed to be under salary due to the fact that I worked between that Monday and Friday pay cycle 8/23/2014, THIS NEVER HAPPENED! I was also told salary was performance based and as long as I picked up and delivered on time I would receive a raise each week until I capped out @ $1500!! The following week, I continued to pickup and deliver ON-TIME in hopes of receiving my raise!
On that Wednesday, I was given a load assignment that picked up in Dalton, Ga and delivered in Cherry Hill, Nj the following day between 8 am & 12pm a 4 hour window! Which was clearly a 880 MILE TEAM ASSIGNMENT, as a solo driver LEGALLY I COULD NOT DO THIS, but me an eager employee I picked up and delivered ON TIME, which took me running about 19 hours consistently! As I was getting ready to deliver the 1st team load, I was contacted by Delta Eady himself, telling me to head over to Philadelphia about 60 miles away and pickup my next load, which was going right back down to Georgia, another 900 miles, that also delivered the next day, FRIDAY! I then told him that I needed sleep, because I had drove 19hours to deliver this load on time and that I had no more energy! I asked could I take a knap and was told NO, pickup the load, take the trailed to the shop, then go take a knap! I had a faulty trailer which the lights had went out on that night, that needed to be put in the shop, I was instructed to take it to the shop also before shutting down getting sleep!
It took them till 9am the following day to repair the trailer at TA in Elkton, Md! The load was supposed to deliver at 1pm that Friday, which I clearly could not make! I was then called and harassed about the load by the brokers who should have been informed by dispatch, I received different times for delivery, which the broker told me Tuesday 9/2/14! I was given fuel to come to Atlanta, to park and go home until Tuesday... I did that and was called around 10am Saturday by Delta Eady asking why I had not delivered the load!! After we had a discussion about me parking the load at the quiktrip on Fulton industrial and how it was going to be secured! I was supposed to be paid that Friday, day before, via an express code and comcheck for my last weeks work, I was then told that half of my check was being deducted for the late load! Which should have been taken out on my check for next Friday! I have been threatened with abandonment of equipment on my dac and I was offered $600 for my 2 weeks of employment here at this bogus company!! PEOPLE PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS CROOKED COMPANY AND STAY AWAY!!! HE HAS FLYERS POSTED AT ALL THE TRUCK STOPS IN ATLANTA ADVERTISING HIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY IN HOPES OF SUCKERING GOOD DRIVERS IN TO COME GET SCAMMED AND CHEATED!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED...
