I read a couple of negatve reviews about Dax Mart and their possible scams but the price of a Nikon AF Nikkor 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6 EDVR (See more at: http://www.daxmart.com/Nikon-AF-S-NIKKOR-55-300mm-f-4-5-5-6G-ED-VR-Zoom-Lens/p-1418) was too good to pass up. Just like other reviewers stated, once you place the order, they call you to verify it. When I called them back, they told me that the lens I ordered is for film and not an SLR camera. Their description and picture did not represent a film lens but exact Nikon lens I was searching for my SLR digital camera. (see link and product decription)
Long story short:
The online ads show the exact product for a substantial savings over other online lens deals (anywhere from $50 to $100). That should have been a red flag, but just like many others, the offer was too tempting to pass up. I ordered it and received confirmation. The strange part is that the confirmation did not actually list the item or price - hmmm.
The next day I received a notice that the order needed to be confirmed. I called back and just like all the other reviews, the lens I ordered was for a FILM not DIGITAL camera. Of course, they could upgrade it at a minimal cost. Needless to say, I canceled the order.
Although they sent me an email of the cancellation, I will keep my eye out that they infact will not charge my card.
With further investigation it seems like they headquartered in the UK and have other online stores such as Digital Outlets. Buyer Beware...."If it's too good to be true, it probably is"

I ordered a Sony 4K camcorder in December and it was in stock!
After several weeks and I did not receive the camcoreder I contacted Daxmart (732-419-7939) and was told it was not available for shippment. When I queastioned that, I was impolitly told it had come from somwhere in south Asia! It was epected in two week. When the next two week passe I sent an e-mail requesting the status, and never got a response. Today, 1/19/15 I call and was told it was not available. That is when they tried to swich me to a "bundle" that was abailbale. I stopped them before they could give the rest of the pitch!
Then I was told it would be shipped to me when it arrived! At that pont I decided to end the conversation.
I tried to purchase a Canon T3i from Daxmart. They are very unprofessional, rude, will not sell you what you ordered, and tried to charge me twice. Thank God for my Chase credit card fraud alerts!
This company advertizes TV at discounted prices. I was told that the TV I purchassed did not come with essental equipment because it was a "comercial unit". The advertisement was for the same part number that is commonly found in stores but that I would have to pay a $350.00 upgrade to get the essental private consumer package. Note when i checked the Samsung website there was no such comercial unit with the same part number, furthermore this company wanted to sell a extended warranty through Samsung but is not an approved Samsung vendor. I thought it odd thet the sale was not processed at the time of the sale, this was due to the heavy use of bait and switch and multipal prices being thrown out trying to confuse the buyer. The site advertised free shipping but the company wanted to switch me to premium shipping for $170.00 then making you feel that you got a deal reduced it to $70.00. This company attempted to process my credit card for more than the advertised price and my bank shut down the card. reasearch has found this company to use several fronts on the internet such as Daxmart.com and East Coast TV. the phone number that the repersentative called on 877-280-9051 was a non working number when I tried to call the salesman back. I had to resort to calling the other number that was on the web site and when I complained I was hung up on. This whole ordeal felt like a trip to a shady used car lot, and the end result i found it better to buy from a reputiatible local retail store.
