I've used them for almost a year, each time trying to give them a chance to get it together because they were inexpensive. I got them originally to run a few web sales on. Nothing fishy, but I have an online business that I needed to be able to access from a consistant IP address due to their security and I sometimes travel a lot. I picked them due to the fact they were nice and cheap and seemed ok. Setup was pretty simple and I had a few issues getting the Windows Remote Desktop situated and the tech support helped with that. Within a few weeks, the server started running SUPER slow. I wrote them about it and they said they had an ""abuser"" on the node and they booted them off and it should be fine. It started working ok again. Then, I was using Google Wallet for my payment method (wasn't real trusting since they were based out of the UK) and they lost that as a payment method. I hesistantly used my credit card. Sure enough, after that first use, suddenly my card had a $900 charge for some electronics store in England. I called my bank and had to get a reversal on the charge. I had done a few new things, so I couldn't be 100% sure it was that charge that did it, although the location seemed fishy. The next month, after paying, another weird charge showed up in New Jersey at some electronics store (different bank, different card used this time). So I switched to using Paypal as a method after that. I notified them about this and how the timing always happened after paying them. They told me there was no way it was their fault. During this time, I would often have to write and tell them about how slow their server was going. I was always given the same, ""abuser"" response.
I kept dealing with them for a few months like that. Then, one month, their server was down for almost a week. No reason, just went down. Only way I found out what was going on was through their twitter feed (all they said is they were working on it). We received a VERY minor credit for the days that were missed (nothing extra, just the prorated days). Then, about a month after that, I suddenly couldn't connect at all. I wrote their tech support and something happened on their end this time and they had to put me on an entirely new server. The remote desktop wasn't setting up the same as before and I asked if they could do what they did last time on their end so I could access certain things (like my local drives - all the settings were the same on my end). Tech support pretty much ignored that one. Oh, I should add that, several times, despite the fact that you fill out all your info (your account email, server, etc) on their form, tech support would write back telling me they can't do anything until I give them that info. I would sometimes have to reply two or three times to tell them AGAIN what was already on the form.
The last straw was this month. At the first of the month, the usual super slow issues were happening. Same abuser issue supposedly. I ask if there was anything they could do to stop it and they simply said, ""No, and I'm sure it will happen again."" Then, this last time, I wrote and told them again it was happening. They said that it's MY fault and they were suspending my account for 12 days. I went off and told them that ALL I'm doing it accessing ONE website once maybe every 6 hous. Not downloading anything, etc (and this is a major business website, not some shady place). They said, sorry, but it has too many ""connections."" I told them that I paid for the service and that is completely unacceptable and I'll have to find someone more reliable. The only reply, ""Thanks for the update.""
This place is super shady. Avoid them, it's not worth the ""value price.""
