I have lived in the Bridge Kroft Apartments since April of 2010. I have honestly had problems with them since day one. They are managed by a company called Dalcor who is based out of Dallas, Texas. The apartments were built in Montgomery, Alabama back in the early 1980's. Bridge Kroft Apartments have not been updated or brought up to par since then. They are extremely run down, old, out of state codes, and they are not at all considerate of their tenants or their property. They are just in the business to make money.
My apartment has or has had the following: leakage with the pipes, carpets getting wet and flooded, mold in the kitchen, and both of my bathrooms, chipping paint along the walls, severe pest problems, problems with the switches for the lights, issues with the HVAC unit, issues with the appliances going out, tiles on the floors of the wash room and the bathrooms coming up and being cracked, flooring in the kitchen peeling up.
Ultimately, the apartment complex doesn't really fix things, they patch things up. They also do not get things done in a timely manner. My living room as of today, 8/17/14 is flooded; carpet is wet and is now holding an oder. They have just recently raised the rent by $10-$25. They are always hassling the tenants about how they need their rent on time, but they do not keep the apartments up to par. The tenants at this apartment complex are not in a liviable state.
Do not move into these apartments! They are horrible and they are a waste of money! The staff are nothing buy lying, thieving manipulators. If the apartments are managed by Dalcor Companies, I wouldn't move into them period!
