I received a letter today stating I owe Rewards660 Visa Dakota Bank $432.21. I have never app;ied for a credit card from this company and never received a card from this The people on the phone don't even sound human. They hung up on me stating I wasn't calling from myhome phone. I was callling from cell phone. They are now threatenig to take me to court. Plus now this shows on my credit report. This is Bs.
How can a company I've never applied to or never had a card with have all my name and address and be sueing me for something I've never had???????? This is bogus and this company needs to be shut down period!!!!!!!!! Why doesn't the better business bureau look into this? Why doesn't someone stop this BS? Please can anyone help me. Im NOT sending these people any money. They have offered to set up a payment plan for me, Nope, I don't have a card , never did, never applied, not going to get any money from me , sue, me get a judgement. I'll go to court with a lawyer...............
When I returned from Iraq, I found my house burglared and ransacked. The thieves had stolen among other things some identiy information and had begun to open credit cards in my name and siphoning funds from my bank account.
It took me a long time to clear up much of this mess, but there remain a few, this company in particular that continued to hold me responsible to pay my burglars bills. Police report from the local police made no difference to them, and they would not produce any copy of my signature opening the account.
But they are allowed to report me as a deadbeat They then sell this debt to collection agencies, that then sell it to another collection agency and so on... That way the negative debt report can remain on my record forever. The credit reporting agencies belive these banks way too much.
