I went to custom autoworks to get a truck display done, I already had all of my components I just needed the labor. They convinced me they could meet my other needs like installing halo foglights, painting chrome pieces, install spoilers. Etc. They said it would only take them 2 weeks due to my job I gave them a month. 2 weeks later I get a call saying it would be an additional $200 to use plexiglass in my truck. Almost 3 weeks after that I needed my car and I was told they weren't done. I had to wait at the shop 5 hours while they threw a box together Before I even left the shop I notices a halo headlight ring falling off inside headlight housing. I told them to fix it when I got back including installing spoilers and finishing my teat deck and sub box. I brought it back a week later and gave them a week deadline to fix the box because to was too big for my truck.
I wasn't told until Friday evening (after I took off of work) that my headlight wouldn't be in until Monday.
They told me everything else was done. I got someone to pick my car up the following Wednesday and I was told they just put the headlight in When car was picked up the box was unfinished, amps were not hooked up, a sub wasn't even in the box, roof spoiler was not installed and the halo rings in both headlights fell off again and halo foglight didn't work. They claimed the bit Ten D processor was tuned but my rear deck speakers were not even wired and none of the speakers were operational. To add insult to injury they only offered my a $170 refund and the total cost of what I paid was a little over $3400. They had car for a total of 57 business days and the only work completed was an underglow kit which I already had wires ran for. I will be taking them to small claims court. Please people stay away from custom autoworks in homewood,al.
