This company claims to be an American manufacturer of high end plastics processing equipment. The fact is that most of the critical components of the machines are manufactured in China. Customers buy this equipment believing that these components are sourced from the USA, Canada, and Eirope. The reality is that they are sourced in China and have a high rate of failure - especially the transmissions (or gear boxes) on their twin screw extruders - likely the most critical component of the machine.
In all my time with this company I have never seen a production deadline met or an agreement honored as promised. Their usual way of operating is to get a down payment from a client, then get the second installment, then hold them hostage to delivery by asking for additional funds ahead of time in order to complete the project.
The fact is, this company is so broke that it uses the down payment moneys to pay past due bills and payroll, thereby running out of money that's intended to purchase the materials needed for the current project. They are constantly teetering on the edge of insolvency. I would be very careful about doing business with them...and do not expect them to honor the agreement as written.
George Holmes is the owner, although his wife Bunny Holmes may be listed as the owner as well. This company is holding is tremendous amount of debt and it is a miracle that the bank has not forced a firesale of inventory. George Holmes has a long standing reputation of making false promises. George Holmes does not pay commissions to his salespeople and then lets them go when they ask for their overdue payments. No sales person has stuck around for any length of time and this company has no sales force.
