The Crossings Book Club contacted me and informed me that I was late sending them a payment for something I never ordered.
The first notice indicated that it was the "second" notice.
I responded to this notice via phone and informed them I had made no orders.
I found out that Crossings is but one of several book clubs owned by one establishment.
I had problems with the other account in the past as well (One Spirit).
With this new information about the companies, I asked that both accounts be closed. The phone representative stated she was taking care of that during the call.
I continued to receive mailings from both clubs with their monthly selections but figured it would take time for the closures to take effect.
A month later I received another Statement of Account notice from Crossings, wanting payment for a book they say I ordered.
I am now here posting this because I was unable to find the BBB office in Harlan IA, where the return address on the Statement of Account letter came from.
