I went to sign up for creditkarma.com even though my husband and I have been married for over 10 years (in which I changed my name 2 weeks after) have owned & sold 3 houses, 4 cars, had 3 kids, have 5 credit cards, 4 banks accounts they could find no "credit history" on me.
I contacted them via thier online form and was told that the infomation on my account must be worng... it was not. Then I was told that my name must not be on anything... it is on everything. Then they tried to say that my husband was the only person authorized to contact them about my account... um no.
Through a different service I know what my credit score is along with everything on my credit history. Creditkarma just didn't bother to actually pull the info. When I asked for my account to be closed they told me no since I had to complete the process... all info (SS #, address, name etc) was accurate..... it's been my info for 30 years (11 as a married women).
I tried to obtain my credit report through this company and quickly discovered they had already given my credit information to someone with an email address of [email protected]
The company insisted that I would have to fax them my driver's license, which I did. Then they followed up with another email stating they had to have additional identification. I provided a copy of my passport AND social security card. Their only response is to keep saying they need additional verification of my identity.
Obviously they gave my credit information to someone else, they know that I know that, and now they simply refuse to acknowledge their mistake or provide me any information on who they gave my credit file too. AVOID this company - I think they probably have sold the identification documents that I faxed to them to other people, for all I know - I think they are just a bunch of California losers.
Credit Karma claims to provide FREE credit score reporting. But in order to receive services, you MUST choose 1 of several offers. Point of contention, IF I MUST USE OR CHOOSE ANY SERVICE IN ORDER TO RECEIVE FREE CREDIT REPORT, then the service IS NOT free. It is not free because I must choose and accept a third parrty service.

It's all a scam to get your info.
I have been getting my credit monitored by this company thought I was on the right track. My score on credit karma said it
went up to 694, I was so happy because now I could apply for a home loan. Went to the bank only to be told my credit was
612 and they can't help me. All the time wasted I could have been working on improving my score In a different way. This
website had me thinking that what I was doing was working.Very devasted and embarrassed I would sue them if I could. I
even applied for a credit card they suggested to build up my credit. It was denied and went on my credit report.

Credit score is 60 to 70 points lower the three credit agencies. Will this score go to my creditors?
