Early December I receieved a number emails promoting various items Creative Labs was selling. The prices were great and I was ordering early enough for the items to arrive in time for Christmas.
My two orders were supposed to arrive between the 14th and 17th of December. When the 17th came and no items had arrived, I logged onto my account to check the status of my order. I learned neither orders had been processed or shipped. I also learned Creative no longer has a phone number I can call.
I used Creative's online chat feature to ask with someone what the status of my orders was. No one knew. I was told Amazon fullfills (translation: ships) items for Creative. Which doesn't make sense, as I order from Amazon all the time, and they're NEVER late. Even if that were the case, no one could tell me the status of my order, or if and when I'd receive anything from my order.
The person I spoke with said he'd get back to me via email. HE NEVER DID. So I scheduled a phone call back. No one ever bothered to call back (why am I NOT suprized).
I've been trying to cancel these orders WITHOUT success. Creative's online chat service has been offline for over a week. Additionally NO one is responding to emails.
I was forced to purchase replacement Christmas gifts ... no big deal ... BUT I NO LONGER NEED THE ITEMS I PURCHASED FROM CREATIVE GUYS. It would be really REALLY nice if I were contacted by a living breathing human being who actually gives a damn about customer service.
That said, I've been purchasing from Creative Labs for decades. If the customer service I've received this December is an indication of what Creative Labs has become ... I WILL NEVER PURCHASE OR RECOMMEND CREATIVE PRODUCTS AGAIN.
Hopefully I'll eventually find a way to cancel these orders. Obviously I'll be instructing UPS NOT to ship these items to me. God willing I'll also be able to get a refund.
Don't get burned like I did ... be warry when making online purchases from Creative Labs. Their customer service is NON exsistant and they aren't the company they used to be.
