Suzie Marie is a fraud who sells herself as a creative consultant for artists. Part of her selling point is an online gallery which she uses the similar creative concepts site but put an inc at the end. She almost stole my work but I figured out the scam half way through a trip to NYC. The red flag went up in the temporary office she used for our meeting. The next day we were supposed to meet to visit galleries and when she didn't show, I paniced. I hounded her office until I told her to bring me my work or I was going to call the police. Then finally when my work was not included in the so called exhibit that was being promoted, I was told I would get a refund, in print. I signed the refund form but never received the refund. The whole thing was a scam and it was more than embarrassing. To target starving artists who are trying to get work out in the world is pathetic and I wish we could all band together to get a law suit against this horrid woman.
I've been contacted by a person named Suzie Maria from Creative Concept Inc in 2013, all the proposals seems good, so i signed the contract with them. For $2500, we signed a one year contract for Exhibition, Rrepresentative and publicity project. After signed the contract, everything seems so unclear, they didn't do what they have promised to do. i have to email them to ask when is the exhibition, when i must send my artworks etc. Then they said there's exhibition, i sent my artworks to NY, the shipping company cannot found the address of the gallery and everything was so messy, i have to call and email these people and said to them to contact the shipping company cause if not, they will send back to my country. Anyway, they got the artworks. I have a very bad feeling about this 'exhibition', so i googled about the exhibition title, but i don't see any publicity they made about it on social networking such as facebook, twitter, and so on.I didn't even receive any flyers, or brochures or anything they have made about it, i have to grab the poster of the exhibition from their website cause i need it to put on my own website, on the poster, if you see, you don't find any artist's name on it, so, you never know who is actually exhibiting and how to contact the other artists. If you check their website, click on the exhibition, then click Element of Expression ( the exhibition title on The Art 29 space, Chelsea ), you will find a short article about it, but never they mention about the artists who was exhibited there. Plus, i had a friend who help me to check the space, he didn't find a space for a beginning, he went to the address but it appeared to be a place for dancing, and people there said don't have any idea about this exhibition! I contacted Suzie Maria, she assured me that there is an exhibition and she will send me the photos. I received the photos exhibitions, but i didn't see my works on it. So i asked again the photos with my works on it. Few days later, she sent me the photos with my 2 of my works on it, while i sent 5 artworks, they only displayed 2 artworks. I have to forced them to send all the unsold artworks to me. What i mean 'forced' was i have to use a threating way to make them send my artworks back to me after several nice emails and they seems like they take it seriously. I am lucky i finally got my artworks back, but i can see that, from the 5 artworks, they only open 2 artworks, the rest of the packagings, still remained the same, they never openned it. it means these works never exhibited.
Now, for the artbooks. I didn't receive anything about the confirmation of the layout before they print the artbook as they are promised, i have to ask several times till i get angry and then they sent me the layout, which only i can see the colours, the images of my artworks, but i cannot even read what they have wrote on the books. How they expected me to confirmed if i don't even see the words ? Well, i confirmed the colors of the layout anyway. According to the contract, the book, Elements of Expression by Creative Concept Inc, will published on July 2013, and each artist will receive 5 copies of the books. Now we are in 2014, and i haven't received the artbook. When i emailed Suzie about it, as usual, she played like she don't know what's going on, and she will fix the problem for us, she told me she will send it herself and asked if i need her to send to my client or gallery or other people. Very smart isn't it ? I said to her, no thanks, just send the 5 copies to me, and i will arrange it myself. Until now, i never received the books. I don't even know if i am in that books as they promised.
Scam or not, i don't recommend this company. They really don't do as they said in the contract. It is a mistake to signed up with them.
