Wanted to earn more income but needed to work from home to supplement my part-time evening online employment. Found ad in a trusted work-at-home website to set up an eBay business that cost $97.00 to get started.
I was contacted by a members learning center that "mentors" people to set up an eBay account and build your own business website. Then I got a call from Creative Business Set Up who stated they were to help me set up the financial portion of the business, providing corporate set up, business credit, and tax preparation but I had to pay $7000.00 for this help. This help will be provided for the life of my business.
I should have stopped right there but they convinced me to proceed, assuring me that I will be making great money to pay off all debt in a short period of time. Supposedly, I would be getting a business line of credit to repay back the personal payment of $7000.00.
After the 3 day cancellation policy expired, I learned that the credit card used to pay the fee was billed by "Top Shelf Marketing", a name that I am unfamiliar with and was never mentioned in our phone conversations. So I looked up both companies and I think I have been duped into paying money into a scam.
I am fairly intelligent and should know better, but this venture seemed possible. Now I do not want to have any part of Creative Business Set Up, or whatever their name is. None of the phone numbers are traceable to a legitimate business nor is there a website for Creative Business Set Up.
