Not only are the tickets overpriced, but we had to spend 50 some dollars in just "shipping and handling" after spending hundreds on tickets. Then they email the tickets to us. The fact that it is 7 dollars PER ticket is ridiculous. Per transaction would be fine, but this is a total scam.
On Dec 2014 Creation entertainment advertised on TV that The Vampire Diaries Convention is coming to Orlando Florida on Dec 12-14. Quote "come and see Paul Wesly and Ian Somerhalder live Friday through Sunday Dec 12 - Dec 14...".
So i went on their web site searched for the information for a little bit to find out how this works , etc. according to the site the stars in question were appearing somewhere in these three mentioned days, and there were the options for tickets either buy for all three days or for one particular day. i decided to choose one day and ordered a ticket for Friday.
First thing that i didn't like was that they charged me $7.25 per ticket (i bought 2 tickets for me and my husband) for shipping and hadling, and gave me a link to print my tickets out. wait. what? printed ticket? why do i pay shipping and handling fee then? i contacted them. they explained that they just call it sh&h fee, but in fact it's a convinience fee, the money they actually get for selling the tickets (so-called commission from sale, and it's not included in the price of the ticket). i agreed to pay that on top of the price.
about 2-3 days before the event, tickets were sold out and they posted schedule for each day. i checked my friday to only find out that Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesly aren't coming on that day (i wach the show just because of them). in fact they are appearing on sunday.
i contact the merchant to ask for help to change my tickets for the right day, because i'm desperate to go meet these stars. as a matter of fact, they invited for friday the stars that don't even apear on TVD, they are from the different show. so i explain, and they refused to do anything to help me resolve the issue saying that they have a non-refundable policy, and it's not their problem, and also i could try to wait until that day and go to the entrance and ask them to change my ticket if they could, but this agency has nothing to do with that.
i did not go to any convention at all, because i dont have any interest in watching some people that i don't know. instead, i called my credit card and cancelled the transaction, saying that i wasn't going to that event because they misrepresented the information and didn't assist me in the way that i paid for.
credit card company opened the dispute and returned the money to me, and everything seemed to be forgotten to until recently, when i discovered that they took money from me again without even notifying me, because my bank failed to overrule their policy.
i eneded up not seeing any actors, not going to that event at all, and ended up being charged full amount of money on my credit card.
i want somebody to help me to return my money. it's not appropriate for any buisiness to charge their customers if they didn't provide proper expected service.
