On June 7, at 6:00pm, i was on the internet searching for French bulldogs puppies and I was directed to Columbia's Craigslist website. I ran across a woman name Rebecca Kelly, who was claiming to have 4 12 week old French bull dogs. Rebecca had 2 boys and 2 girls puppies left. The puppies name were Jack, Joy, KaKa and Kerry. I emailed Rebecca and asked her how much did she want for the puppies? The woman response was that "money is not what matters, my goal is to find a good and loving home for my puppies". The woman ask me where did I live? If I had enough time to spend with the puppy? Did I have any kids, if so how did they feel about me purchasing a puppy? She stated that she apologize for asking so many questions, she just wants to be sure that her puppies were going to the right home.

I answered all of Rebecca's question. She was convinced that I should adopt one of her puppies. The woman stated that she just moved to Illinois and if I lived close by I could of came by to pick up the puppy. The woman's suggestion were to have a pet courier service deliver the puppy to my home address instead, because I live in S.C. She suggested that I give her my full name, home address, phone number and email address, so that she could set up the registration at the Courier Company. Rebecca then said that $250 is all you would have to pay for my puppy. She said that a partial of the money would go to her husband for the change of ownership papers and the rest would cover the delivery of my puppy. The woman asked if I would western union the money to her husband instead of transferring it to his account, because it was faster and safer. I told her that I would have to send the money the next morning after I got off from work. The woman emailed me her husband's name and their address "William Decker". She ask that I Contact her as soon as the transaction was completed, so that they could give me a confirmation number and get started on the paper work immediately!

The next morning after I got off at 7am, I wired the money to Rebecca' s husband. I then emailed Rebecca to let her know. The woman then texted my cell phone and asked for the mtcn tracking number for the western union. I thought that was rather strange, because all she needed was the sender's name and address and the amount they were sending. I gave the woman the information she needed and her response was that she was calling her husband at work to let him know the money was sent. She then said that he will prepare the paper work and take the puppy today to the Pet Courier. Hours pasted and I did not hear from Rebecca so I emailed her and an hour later a foreign man called my phone and said that he has a puppy to be delivered to my address. The guy stated that he have all the paper work that I would need for the puppy and that the puppy was doing well, but the puppy was not insured. The guy said that i needed to pay $875 and that would cover the insurance fee of the puppy and it would be 100% refundable upon delivery. I told the guy that it did not make sense for me to insure a puppy that would be sent to me in a matter of hours and then to have the money refunded to me. The guy stated that it's just like paying house or car insurance. I told the guy that home and car insurance is paid to cover damages on a montly matter, not for a couple of hours and I told him that I realized he was trying to scam me. I demanded that he deliver the dog to me dead or alive if he really had it. The guy stated that he would not deliverer the dog without the payment. I emailed, called and text Rebecca and got not response!! Those people scammed me out of $250 and I don't want this to happen to anyone else!! People please be aware and very careful when you are looking on Craigslist to purchase a puppy.

Beware of Kelly Lange on Lima/Findlay Ohio craiglist. I called this guy to build me a pole barn building pad. He met me around 4pm on April 22. The total charge on project was $3600. He stated he needed a deposit of $1500 to rent a bulldozer and could start the following weekend. I wrote a check and he had it cashed the same evening. He wrote a quick receipt for me. Two days later I get a text that he is in hospital for heart problems.

I had to hire someone else to do the work. I told Kelly I wanted my money back as I had hired someone else to do the work. After repeated attempts to get my money back I went to the sheriff to get help with this theft. He even came to my house in June giving me story's about his personal problems and that he is trying to pay me back.

Bottom line is this guy does not do what he says he will. I highly recommend not to hire him for any work. And definitely don't pay him any deposit.

I placed an add for work wanted cleaning homes. I got 2 responses. Both of them sent me checks before meeting me or even doing any work. The checks were for $3,000.00 (US dollars). My husband called an investigator and he told us to destroy the checks because it was a scam. My husband also contacted the FBI and they told him to file a complaint online @ ic3.gov for each one. If I had cashed the fraudulent checks, I would be responsible for the financial and criminal consequences for participating in check fraud and my checking account information would be disclosed to an unknown party where they could debit my account as they wished. Do not fall for this. Your finances would surely become a living nightmare.
