Thankfully, Ripoff Report helped me avoid a $900. mistake, but I had to hurry to the bank and cancel my whole checking account. They don't take credit cards and require e-checks... probably because it takes 30 days to dispute from the bank and they record you authorizing the expense.

Problem is... it's a shell game. They have lots of company names, lots of phone numbers, lots of gmail accounts. Too many to keep track of or to book travel with.

Right after I purchased, I had second thoughts and read the Ripoff Report where I guy told a story of being hung up on, among other horrors. Next day, I call the customer service number and told the guy I was concerned about the report and had some questions, since others reported the phone number as a scam. He replied, "Really, you're asking me if I'm a scammer? Do you think if we were scammers we would tell you that?" Then I heard, click... he had hung up! I guess actions do speak louder than words. :(

I called the other number of my origional nice guy representative and after a lot of shuffeling a lady did finally make herself available, but my caution instincts were in full swing so I decided to play it safe and run to the bank to shut down my checking account.

They finally did send me some emails and it was obvious how the many companies interact to make travel with vouchers difficult. Lots of disclaimers upon disclaimers, then a buried line saying,

"not responsible for written or oral agreements made any other company." Clever. It's not entirely a scam, but certainly an unethical business practice and a shell game to be sure.

Glad I was spared. Hope you are too! Always research before you buy online.

I was just scammed myself for $286.00

I had a feeling but like you said they seemed so nice and knowledgable. Everytime I call them I get a run around. It's been a few weeks and I'm trying to contact the bank now. I feel so stupid and betrayed.

SCAM SCAM SCAM

On 8/20 I was sold a trip over the phone promising an 8 day Caribbean cruise visiting Cozumel, Honduras, Grand Cayman, and Belize departing from Tampa Florida with airfare included for $269.98 per person with a $69 per person booking fee and then all that would remain are taxes for $228-$288 per person. After collecting my money I was sent to another company (Funtime Reservations) that was supposedly going to do my booking. I paid them $50 for a deposit, at this point I put in the request of the trip that was sold to me by Xavier, and also I was told that I should have never been told where the trip was going as it was my choice of destination and port. I was promptly given a quote for multiple thousands of dollars stating i was out of promotion because i requested flights for a Friday. this was never told to me that I had to fly on a Tuesday or Wednesday to be in confines of the promotion. So I made my changes as requested after paying another $25 dollars, all other items remained the same for my request. I then received another statement now saying that the times i am requesting are in peak season, again was never told anything by the sales person about travel dates other than not within 7 days before or after a holiday and must book 90 days in advance. So i resubmitted yet another quote fixing the days and the flight to be in compliance with the sold promotion, at this point they then told me that the cruise line I was requesting was not part of it. Yet again i changed the cruise line using all other same data after verifying prior to submitting that I would be in compliance. I got a statement telling me there was no such trip available and i should use the cruise line I was asking for on all the other requests. I then sent them screen shots of the cruise lines website and finally got another quote stating that the cruise i am requesting is not available for the promotion. i also questioned the Taxes and was told the selling Company (CTD) did not dictate taxes that the booking company did. This whole process is a drawn out scam and i am requesting full refund of my money. My account has been documented with phone calls of lies between one customer service group to the other and my other issues have all been documented in my file and by multiple email chains telling me they couldn't explain why the other item were not caught on the first requested Quote. The customer service rep even stated to me that she could not believe she was being lied to and had me on a conference call while it happened. She then stated that they have problems with customers and complaints that were not true and she was sorry that she did not believe me initially. Her name is Victoria and was very helpful until now that I am asking for a refund and she is telling me there is nothing that can be done even though i had all these documented problems. I asked several questions during the purchase and they were all answered as I have stated. These companies all use the same address for mailing purposes and are linked together even though they appear to be separate. Let it be know the first time I spoke with customer service (Ed) the man was very rude and got loud and would not listen to anything I said the whole time blaming me stating I was in the wrong. This is very unprofessional
