I keep getting these letter from this Convergent Outsourcing stating that i owe T-mobile $154.33, i need to pay them this money or it will go against my credit. I have been with T-Mobile for 15 yrs i am up to date. I do not owe this money. This company has sent me letters stating that i owe them thousands of dollar for stores i've never even hear of.
convergent has started sending me letters after i started recieving social security trying to collect for a car that is not owed for since it was returned willing. they are tring to scam someone else, but, i know they are trying to get into my social security benefits, and i am willing to fight them to the end for whats right.
In aug 2011 I was in need of a car a my credt was poor due to my health so i went to joe cooper after seeing there add for 99 cents down good or bad cedit acceipted.
I purchased a 2005 ford turus with 106187 miles on it. ( $10693.00 and $3711.82 in intrest with 77 bi weekly payments of 186.00 ) Blue book value then was 5400.00 In top condution
they failed to tell me the car had been wrecked and sold several times scence it orignal purchase.
first day on way home breaks strated making noise aand transmission started sliping took the car back tey said they would have it fixed so they made an appointment to have it fixed took two weeks to get it looked at and another week for it to get into the repair center ( a muffler repaair shop anad service station) said it need a new transmission and wouldf have to have the car for a week.
went back to sales manager and ask for a car to use in the meaan time and was told they could do that for insurence purposes i was responsable to make arrenagements. so I had to Borrow the rental money from a friend untial i got the car back. went ot pick up the car and was informed that it would be another for or five days.
I went to them and asked if the couild lower my payment after all ready making $,11160.00 in payments and thay refused after i explained that i was unable to keep my part time job due to my health. so i turned the car back over to them.
after they sold the car at auction i just rececived pappers today that there sueing me for $3,587.45 plus 20% interest from jan. 2014.
I received a letter from Convergent Outsourcing Inc., stating that I owed the ridiculous amount of $29,080.78 to a company by the name of Galaxy Asset Purchasing, LLC. I have never heard of this company before and I have never owed this kind of money to anyone, other than a car loan or a mortgage. I am not surprise since this kind of con artists are allowed in the USA. No laws to protect us. I am sending them a certified letter requesting proof of debt as first step towards a law suit. At least I will make $1,000.00 out of them.
I received a letter/bill from Convergent stating that they were attempting to collect a debt on behalf of Verizon stating that I had an outstanding balance of $58.51 and that Verizon would settle for $52.93. The Verizon account number listed was for an old fax line that we used to have. We have also changed carriers approximately six months ago.
I went to your website and read many similar postings stating that Convergent was a scam and that other people received similar notices. i then called Verizon and gave them my old account number and after a brief waiting time, I was advised that there was no outstanding debt and reconfirmed that the account had been closed. A total Fraud!
Received a letter stating a settlement for 20% of a debt I supposedly owed to LWW Funding in the amount of 3010.29 could be paid to settle the account.
I have no such debt.
After reading other posts in their regard, why are these guys not in jail?
Back in January I disputed a bill for 140 dollars from Dish Network . I asked for a copy of contract. The contract said I signed it back in 2002 and service was for either 2012 or 2013 not clear, no package or equiptment is listed. My bank fought the charges under fraud and I recieved my money back to my account, 3 months later Dish supposenly turned a bill for over 900 dollars to Convergent for collection. I never been given a notice from either Dish or Convergent for demand of payment. I did get my credit report with convergent listed forcollections. They ruined my credit for something I know nothing about and furthermore I thought notice is suppose to be given under the law I was not even given a chance to dispute the 900 dollar bill, It looks like retalliation for fighting a bill I never should have had.I have disputed the charges with the credit reporting agencies however I have no faith they will do what is lright and I sent a copt of bogus contract to them. I guess I will sooner or later have to fight in court
