Continental Who's Who Who's Who in American High Schools Threatened to not credit after calling SCAM Valley Stream, New York

Just emailed them this summary of my dealing with the company:

To whom it may concern,

I just spoke with someone at your office named Jerry Nelson. I had an issue with you sending me a package that was cancelled. I had called and cancelled the package after talking to a representative named Tina. My phone calls were not returned after I left 2 messages asking for the account to be cancelled just minutes after I spoke with Tina. I did this after Google'ing information on your company and found out that you aren't as reputable as she said. After this I sent an email to your company again requesting a cancellation of the order. Jerry Nelson called and left a message stating that the order could be cancelled after proof of my phone log was submitted. This was emailed to him and the request was granted. I then received the package a few days later (which was dated after my cancellation request..almost a week later). I then sent emails to request an adrress to send it back. These emails went unanswered for 2 days before I called today to request an address to mail it back. I spoke to Jerry Nelson and told him I needed an address for this package to go back. He gave me the address and I asked him how I wanted it to be shipped back. He then got rude and told me to take it to the post office. I meant signature confirmation, type of delivery, etc. I did not expect such a rude reply from a 'Sr Account Director' who is supposed to be my representative from your company. After getting rude with me, I told him that I thought the way you do business is a 'scam' After stating this to Jerry, he threatened to go down to the credit department and talk to them about issuing my credit. This is absolutely ridiculous. You had stated to me that I was being given a credit and I stated my opinion that I thought the ordering/cancellation process was 'scamlike' I asked him if he was threatening me and he proceeded to just say BYE and hang up the phone on me. I then called back and he answered and I asked for his name, he hung up on me again. He asked me why I needed it before he hung up. He then called me from a BLOCKED phone number (probably a cell phone or a line that you guys don't record/trace) and stated 'Someone just told me that you had called in asking for my name' I told him that it was him I had just talked to and that I needed his name because he treats people with no respect. He finally stated his name and called himself 'Sr Account Director' He referred to himself as 'my' Sr Account Director. I asked him why he threatened to not have my credit processed. He then stuttered out a statement that was totally contradictory to what he had said 2 phone calls previous. I just thought you would want to be aware of how he treats your clients. I guess since I am not becoming a member, I should be treated like dirt? Please remove me from all future contact. I want nothing to do with your company at all. I will be posting this on the internet as well so other people can understand the way you guys conduct business. I will also be emailing this to the emails I see to the right of this comment box. Thanks for your time and I hope that not everyone in the company acts like Jerry Nelson. He is a liar and I don't even think he knows what he says. I have all the voicemails saved stating that I will be getting credit back on my account so don't let Jerry go talk to the credit company like the way he threatened me to do so. Thanks for your time!

Continental Who's Who Continentialwhoswho.com continental who's who, fraud, high pressure sales, rip off, fake, scam Internet, Nationwide

I received a random unsolicited phone call the other day from a woman claiming MY NAME was chosen "from hundreds of applicants" to be included in the 2011 Continental WHOS WHO. I declined, but have received several more call. So I decided today to have some fun with her on the phone.

She said she needed to ask me some biographical questions to qualify me for this :huge honor". EH HEM!.yeah.........anyway. Every question I answered was given a "great, wow, superb, excellent" by this woman. Basic stuff such as whats your profession, how long have you been in your current profession etc. So here is where I started to yank her chain a bit. I started to really say some off the wall crap. Just to see what the response I would get would be. I told her I was next in line to be considered for the position of Dali Lama, "wow that is a great accomplishment". I told he I was helping NASA design a new space program which was top secret..."You are just the kind of elite person we are looking for, you sure do qualify".....

Obviously the nonsense I was saying to her was NOT TRUE, but she didn't care.

I asked her if I could have some time to research their organization so I could consider if it was for me. NONONO!!!!! We need to know right now because of the exclusivity of our program, you must make a professional choice...blah blah blah.

I could have told her I was the royal s**t shoveler for the prince of Siam or the reincarnation of Jimmy Hoffa.....it would have been "perfect"!

I have a feeling they are running out of suckers in the industries they normally target and are now heading to the martial arts crowd. BE AWARE, they make it sound very nice, very exclusive and will play upon the ego making you think "wow, Ive been chosen for this honor"....oh yeah...all for the one time fee of $800 ......

Now Im not one to s**t on what someone else does, I could acre less...but these organizations (pay to play) will RUIN your reputation, and damage the integrity of your martial art.

The real read flags were any thing I said was "absolutely great" and went w/o questioning...even the obviously blatant nonsense I told her to have fun at her expense, as well as the fact that I was not allowed to investigate them and had to "make a decision right now on the phone. All we need is your valid cc number".

Its one thing to belong to an organization, a hall of fame or paying minimal fees for the expenses of that organization to be covered. Its totally different to buy your way in, to sell awards and to risk damaging your good reputation by associating with these phoney's.

CONTINENTALWHOSWHO.COM is their website. I checked out their member list.....um no!!!!!

This woman also told me that they were associated with Forbes magazine and CNN but "this information has not been made public yet"..."we will send them a press release announcing your inclusion to our Whos Who"....I pressed her further with : will those media (Forbes & CNN) publish or broadcast the press release.

Silence the "the press release is sent directly to Forbes & CNN".....she had no answer. I also inquired why the asscociation with Forbes Magazine & CNN have not been made public....again silence then a "um um um ....we try to keep our business private and we dont advertise for members".....THEN HOW DID YOU GET MY EMAIL AND PHONE NUMBER....."um you filled out a form online"....I THOUGHT YOU DIDNT ADVERTISE BECAUSE YOUR SO EXCLUSIVE"....."WELL WE UM...MAYBE SOMEONE RECCOMMENDED YOU".

The entire rest of the conversation was her talking around her own bull crap.

Pass this on......these groups are out to rob you of you cash.....there is no elite nature to them, they are nothing special. Its pay to play.....stay away!

The best part is the ONLY people who will have access to or a copy of their WHO'S WHO "beautifully leather bound" copy of their member listing...IS THE MEMBERS WHO PAID TO BE IN IT! No one else sees it.

Continental Who's Who CWW Did not deliver what was promised! Internet

I was first contacted via E-mail by this organization at the beginning of 2009. The company offers a website where outstanding business and professional leaders can post their profiles. They also publish a book containing such profiles and send you a wall plaque commemorating your achievements. After spending at least 500 dollars I never received the book even though the promise was made that it was to be published this summer. The wall plaque was delivered. The online profile is spartan and cannot be augmented despite numerous attempts to do so. It contains several errors.

After the initial contacts Diane Webster called me about being included in the exclusive section of the book. She became angry when she learned that I was no longer interested and when she found out where I lived. Last week I was called by Bob of the same organization. I returned his call yesterday and found that he thought I was a new member. I explained to him about the problem with the online profile and he told me if the new information had not yet been added to contact the technical department. I checked my profile today and found that nothing yet had been done. The book and the online profile can be used as networking tools. I am disappointed in the level of service provided by this company. I think that they charge too much since a similar service is offered by LinkedIn for free.

Continental Who's Who The Biggest Scam, High Pressure, Completely Fraud Company....LIES, LIES, LIES, We need a class action lawsuit Internet

I got a call from a man identifying himself as Chris Meyers. He informed me that they were looking for professionals that excels in their business world or profession and he informed me that my name came out in Real Estate Industry. First he asked me how long I have been doing it, what type of awards I received, what are my expertise etc.etc.

I answered all the questions hoping that this will help my career. He also claimed that there is about over 800,000 plus members who are enjoying getting connection from existing members.

He also claimed that they have advertising in different magazines and in Time Square in New York.

Members consists of Doctors, Lawyers, Politicians, Attorneys, Professor, High Caliber Individuals, etc.etc.

After having a long conversation with him, he told me that there is a membership fee.

For Sending me a Plaque of recognition, advertising all over the world, internet access.

I asked him if I could check the internet and he said " What we will be doing is send you your passwords after your membership was processed".

So, I provided my credit card information to him. After an hour, part of me was saying, check the internet and do research for these company. That is when I found out the members are so little less than 200 instead of 800,000 plus that he was claiming. I read all different complaints from different people that they also victimized.

I called back and Chris Meyers said to me that I am having a buyer's remorse. He referred me to his boss Kyle Madison and Mr. Madison told me that these advertising is non refundable.

Take note, everything happened in less than 24 hours. He told me that is their company's policy and that they notified everyone during the process that these are final sales.

He said that all the conversation is being recorded and they will prove that was mentioned to me over the phone. " He said, if he listen to our conversation with Chris Meyers and he did not mention about the non refundable cost, he will be gladly credit my card back".

Folks, this never happened. I notified discover card and discussed the entire situation and provide them with my letter and correspondence and they responded to me this way"

"We've finished our investigation regarding the transaction of $599.50 from the Continental Whos Who. Based on the information we received from THE CONTINENTAL WHOS, the transaction appears to be valid."

Please help me understand this whole process...why our credit card company favors SCAM BUGS..

I hope Cris Hansen from dateline investigate this Fraudulent Behavior. We should put a stop to this nightmare. I told Discover Card that probably $599.50 is not much for them, but this is a lot of money for me. I am a single Mom trying to work day and night to provide shelter, education and food on the table.

If anyone could help me, please contact me. Thank you for reading this...

Continental who's who not sure? Deceptive sales practice / sales approach valley stream new york

Problem description:

I received an unsolicited phone call from continental who’s who on 11/20/14 at 10:49 am. A sandra dennis (516-825-5634) called to tell me and my company ljl) has been nominated to become a member of continental who’s who and she called to congratulate me.

She said before she went further, she needed to confirm some information. She said she needed to ask me some biographical questions to qualify me for this huge honor at not point she did not indicate the phone call was being recorded). I corrected her and told her my business was ljl seminars and not ljl. After sandra verified some information she then began her sales pitch and said i qualified to become a lifetime platinum member at $ 849. I immediately told here i was not interested and (1) will not make any commitments until i do my due diligence and check out the website and bbb website.

She said continental whos who has a a+ rating and i indicated i do also. I also said, i have had zero complaints since i have been in business for over 23 years and before i agree to do business with someone else, i check them out. She said she could give me a username and password to check out www.Continentalwhoswho.com for more information. I also told her i am not agreeing to any membership and i will not provide any credit card information over the phone to someone who called me since i do not know who they are.

She then said is it the money and i said no. I am not agreeing to sign up for anything until i review the information first. Is there any information she can send me and she said i could look at the website. She then said, “if you are not comfortable with the platinum package she could offer me the gold package for only $ 589. I again said i am not agreeing to any package until i check out the website and bbb site and other sites. She went onto explain why this is an honor and you have to be invited and she needed to send me a form to capture by bio. She said they were associated with forbes magazine and cnn and before thre information could be made public she needed to have completed bio for the press release.

I again told her i am not agreeing to purchase anything. She then offered me a 3yr membership for $ 349. I again, said i am not agreeing to any membership and why does she keep asking me. I said she was not listening to me. She then offered me again another membership for $ 189. I again said no,..I need to review information before i make any decision. She finally offered me a 1 year introductory offer for only $ 99 and i said i again do not commit to any membership until i do my review. She said the 1 year would only be $ 99 + taxes for a total of $ 108.50 and i said i need to do my review and would get to her at 2:00 pm with my decision. I was in a meeting at 3:03 when she called and left me a message and said she had not heard from me a assumed i was a man of my word and i would honor my agreement. When i heard the message, after leaving my meeting at 3:17 i immediately called sandra back and told her i completed my review and i was not interested in becoming a member.

She asked me why and i told her i had reviewed the bbb website and other websites and did not like what i saw regarding continential business practices and she said she also reviews their bbb listing and only saw and she said i should not be looking at blogs for reviews. I told her i did not look at blogs but other review sites and i was not interested in any member. I also checked out their other other website www.Continentalwhoswho.Net and did not recognize any of the members. I would guess the only people who see this list and those who were tricked into joining this membership. As part of my due diligence, i sent some of these people an email asking them about their experience. The gentlemen at continental who’s who called me before i received any email replies. When i do receive theses replies and have a chance to speak with some of these people, i may amend this complaint.

I did notice that this business is not bbb accredited. She tried again to change my mind and i again told her no. I am not interested. Sandrda ended the call by saying, “well have a successful career” and we ended the call. About 15 minutes later i received a call from a gentleman i did not remember his name) and he immediate said, we have a recorded phone call of me agreeing to a membership. When the gentleman called me and again implied i agreed to a membership. I cut him off and told him i did not. He said he has the phone recording and did i want to hear the call played back. I immediately cut him off and told him i did not agree to any membership, i did not care how he was interpreted the phone call with sandrda and i said i just called and spoke with sandra and told her i was not interested and i did not appreciate the high pressure sales pitch and return phone call and hung up on him.

I am so glad i did not provide any credit information as i also never do for any inbound calls), they probably would have charged my credit card. I am filing this complaint before i receive any additional correspondence from them. During my return phone call, i repeatedly told them i was not interested in any membership. I do not care how continental who’s who wants to imply i agreed to any membership during the unsolicited call, i told them enough times, i need to review information before making any decision.

I gave them my no decision very clearly when i called sandra back. When the gentleman called me and again implied i agreed to a membership. I cut him off and told him i did not. He said he has the phone recording and did i want to hear the call played back. My complaints: (1) the business practices of this company is very deceptive and high pressure and harassing (2) the record calls without telling you they are recording calls and this is against the law since i did not give them permission to record my call. (3) i called sandra back after my review, as promised, and told her that i was not interested in the membership and i did not sign anything and did not agree to any membership level (4) the gentlemen i think was a senior member of the organization) called me back and threatened that he had a recording where i agreed. I guess my call to sandra when i explicitly told her i was not interested was not recorded, but maybe it was since they seem to record all their calls with notifying people.
