I have had health insurance from the individual market for years. After filling for coverage trough the marketplace, the only company that offered insurance in my area is Consumers' Choice, therefore, that is the only option i had for purchasing insurance using the market place.
None or little information about the real coverage and network was provided until I paid my first month.
Now I found that only three doctors in the whole city are covered by this company and none hospital, or medical facility is included in the network across the whole county.
My wife needs a mamograph, like most women in the world, and the closer faqcility (according with their directory is 100 miles away) not counting that none gicologist is in the network closer than 50 miles away.
How can a company with so limted offer of services can get the exclusivity of a market? How can all other insurance companies offer cheaper rates and better coverage but out of the market place?
Does the government money have less value than private money? It does not make sense that higher rates buy less coverage.
