This place hired me to build them a website at a flat rate. The website was built, completed and they were satisified so they hired me to build a 2nd website on an hourly basis.
After completing more than 8 hours of work they cancled the contract VIA email ( with all employees CCed) and are now avoiding pying the current balance by telling me to talk to their lawyer who does not reposnd.
Needless to say it is not worth the time and effort to try and recover $180, but what is worth the time is letting the world know what kind of business CSI TEKS is before anyone else gets ripped off.
My Experience as a customer/cosultant
A client of mine was in need of an email system after a web hosting change, their emails were down and it was an emergency situation.
I referred them over to CSI and to my surprise CSI took advantage of the situation and convinced them (non-tech savvy people) to sign a contract @ 12.
50+ per email account on their slow in-house server, that's only connected to a 5Mbps cable connection (slower than home internet). Terrible if they have attachmentâs to send.
Bottom line:
You can get similar (faster, better more reliable) email service for $4/account from Microsoft.
The techs at CSI are kids that don't kow what their doing
Poor infrastructure
They'll take more of your money, and provide less than manufacture or industry recomendations and tell you otherwise.
Their data center is not secure, as you can see on google maps! (unsecured windows etc..)
Tips about CSI Teks:
1. With so many options for IT support, Networking, and Cloud/Email services, there is o reason to go with a company that will simply ripp you off.
2. If your an outside contracter make sure you get paid in advance, in full.
