On April 9, 2014 I took my wife's laptop to Jeff Miles aka Computer Doctor located at: 125 Bordeaux Lane Madison, Alabama 35757. My wife knew she had some small issues on her computer and wanted her system cleaned and working properly. Our neighbor reccomended this person. When I dropped off the laptop to Jeff Mile's office (his house) and asked when I can expect her computer to be done, he replied; when it's done. Right there I knew he was a smart a**.
April 10th late afternoon I called Jeff Miles to get a status on my wife's laptop. I had to leave two different messages, with no return calls. So the following day I called in the morning and spoke to his wife, she said she would have him call me. Finally, at 5:30 PM on April 11, 2014 Jeff Miles called and said my wife's computer was fixed and we could come pick it up. When I arrived at Jeff Miles home / office, I asked what the problem was, he was very evasive, would not look me in the eye, and it was like talking to a stone. Then I asked how much do I owe you; $225.00. I paid him in cash, and when I asked him for a receipt he was somewhat hesitant.Five minutes later I got my receipt and headed home. I told him prior to leaving, Jeff, your communication skills leave alot to be desired.
April 12, 2014 morning, my wife was finally able to get on her computer. Since it was Saturday, we had a full day ahead of us so she was only on her computer a total of 2 hours. Next morning Sunday, my wife went to get on her computer and her computer screen was black. So I called Jeff Miles and told him the problem, he said drop it off and he'll take a look at it.
April 14, 2014 going on 2:30 PM, wife decides to call Jeff Miles concerning her laptop, he informs her she needs a new computer. My wife was shocked to hear his answer. When my wife questioned him about the repairs he supposely did to her comouter, he alleged she either dropped the computer and spilled something on the computer and there was nothing he could do. My wife who is a double amputee asked him since he services a few of our neighbors computers could he please drop it off at the house. He hung up the phone on her.
Late afternoon today I drove over to Jeff Miles / Computer Doctor to question him one: how he treated my wife and secondly; his computer repair skills. I asked to see the warranty he provides, none, and how he spoke to my wife, which he could not look me in the eye. Prior to leaving his office, asked about refunding the $225.00 I paid him for nothing. He informed me, this has nothing to do with his work. My wife's computer had no problem working prior to taking it to Jeff Miles.
In conclusion, I plan on taking out a few full page ads in numerous newspapers in the Huntsville, Alabama area alerting consumers about his deceptive, horrible workmanship, lies, and fraudulent business practices. This is the trouble with people and businesses who are not required to supply Surety Bonds and Business Licenses. Feel free to contact me, but whatever you do RUN from this guy: Jeff Miles aka Computer Doctor. He's a doctor alright.
