So I've used Comodo for the past year (2014). I signed up for the complete package whichincluses security, anti-virus, clean-up and online support. It current costs $199, my charge last year was $99 so it increased. I signed up because they help with just about any computer problem which I seem to run into frequently.
They do try although some agents need to be pushed and there is as one might suspect different rangesof ability. The agents can be deaf to problems, I tried to reach a supervisor so as to report a problem with their software but the agent wouldn't let me do it apparently from fear I was going to criticize him. i tried with three other agents and got the same refusual or "supervisor is not available"
I finally reached a supervisor and he said nothing and did nothing. i wrote the corporate office and they didn't respond. The moral here is don't expect any respect or regard from the upstairs at Comodo. They do surveys after each communication with agents but don't respond to criticism on them. I might add I praised with I felt that was appropriate. Some times the surveys have names of the agent, sometimes they don't.The agents can do what they want. There doesn't seem to be oversight on agents who can act as rogues when they want.
They will get quite aggresive in selling upgrades and products. While Comodo trials are supposed to include online services you will get little since they insist on a purchase before they help. I had a guy named Bruno today who kept offering my deals while I was trying to get help on a simple installation problem, he also ignored my request for a supervisor. Obviously he is getting credit for any sales.
Their sacns as indicated by a previous report are a joke. I've had security issues and the scans come out 0 perfect every time. The softtware is complex but you get little helf and are often referred to the manual
A huge problem is the wait times for help from a Geekbuddy. I waited over a half hour and as long as 45 minutes frequently in January and February. This happened at any time of the day. They kept telling me that it was corrected but it wasn't. Of course, I didn't renew.
Tried desperately to get Comodos Geek Buddy Service to fix the mess they made of my computer..to no avail..3 hours the first day, over2 hours the second day . And then again all evening. Still no results. They take control and just slide the curser around to mske you think they are doing some repair work....I called the service dept myself several times and they could not figure out what was working and what was not......incompetent!! Not a US Citizen in the bunch! Three days of this craziness. Nothing except a mess I will need to try to resolve.
