I am like others that I have seen file reports on Collections Pros. I do not read magazines and Entertainment Weekly would not be one I would subscribe to if I did get magazines. I received a collection notice for 365.75 telling me I had 30 days to pay I did not order the magazine and have never received this magazine and believe this is a total SCAM.
Received a bill for $332.50 for a magazine (US WEEKLY) from a company named Collect Pros that we have never subscribed to or received and threatened if not paid within 30 days they will assume the charge is valid. Letter stated we could dispute but the website given does not give you that option. After googling this site numerous sites came up that this is a scam. What do we do now?
Received. Notice that I owe 365 dollars for a subscription to entertainment Weekly, which I have never had a subscription to. Never had a subscription to the magazine
I got a notice in the mail from a company called Collect Pros they are trying to collect 84.95 from me. They do not display the name of the company they claim to represent, they only display the product name. I contacted the company the product is from. To the knowledge of the customer services dept. My account with them was closed and all is good. So what's this all about. I received this notice 5-23-15. I will be contacting Collect Pros after the holiday. To be continued
Collect Pros sent me a letter in the mail saying that I owe a balance of $365.75 for Entertainment Weekyl Magazine, a magazine which I do not subscribe to, nor I have I ever, considering I don't even read magazines. The notice states that I have 30 days after receiving it to pay the full amount. This scam is ridiculous.
Received notice from collect pros that they were trying to collect a debt for US Weekly. Since I have never signed up for htat magazine or received a copy of that magazine I called the number on the notice to be directed to their website www.collectpros.com/dispute. Disputed the debt. Will be sending a certified letter officially disputing the debt IAW the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (15 USC 1692g Sec 809 b). Emailed US Weekly, they responded that there is a company in Massachusetts that has been trying to collect from customers (unauthorized). Return address on the envelope is 311 W. 3rd St Carson City Nv 89703 with a Tampa Fl postage permit. Address that they want me to send money is PO Box 4133 Woburn Ma 01888.
I did a search on Google for that company and found many complaints about this company. Mostly that they were trying to collect on debts that are not valid.
Reported them to the Better Business Bureau. According to the BBB website there are 142 complaints, that the company is not physically located in Carson City Nv and the physical address is not known. Website domains collectpros.com and gscmcollections.com are registered to Santrinico Enterprises Ltd in Lamaca Cyprus. Business Mgt: Mr. Michael A. Ross (Manager); corporate filings in some states list the following additional member manager: H&B Capital Holding LLC, Dagit Holdings LLC, and Spyder Marketing Inc. Alternate Business names are Collect Pros LLC, GSCM Collection Department, GSCM. Also BBB cannot determine whether or not they have the proper licensing, bonding or registration to lawfully do business.
Sending a complaint to my State Attorney General's office and to the Postal Inspector (as a complaint for mail fraud). I've reported this business to the FTC and to the consumerfinancial.gov site (possible Fair Debt Collection Practices Act violation).
If you receive a collection request from this company or any of the companies they are associated with do not send them money. Contact the company that they say they are collecting for to verify it's a valid debt. And make sure you report them.
Received notice for collection $69.95. Date on letter was 10/26/2014. I recv'd 11/18/2014. Notice said I have until 11/26 to pay or it will be $89.95. Nowhere on the letter did it state what the charge was for. Researched online, couldn't find anything there.
I recwived a letter from collect pros saying i owe $87.47 for a product that i do not owe, i got a trail order and called and cancelled in the right amount of time, this is a scam i owe nothing, try calling and on the phone with machines for 20 minutes
I got the same pink letter with all the bogus trimmings saying this and that. What surprises me the most is that this scam is still in existence from all the reviews I've read before mine. In addition, any legitimate collection agency collects after the fact that the company they represent has failed to resolve the debt with the person who owes anything. No letters, no emails, no annoying phone calls, etc, etc., pretty much tells you right there something isn't right. Also, most collection agencies I know of have a specific contact person with a sure way of reaching the agency or that specified person. Their website clearly shows you cannot dispute anything. It basically says their right and you're wrong...so pay up! That has scam written all over.
I HAVE RECEIVED A COLLECT PROS ,LETTER STATING THAT I OWE $87.63 FOR BELLA LABS. I HAVE CALLED BELLA LABS AND THEY TOLD ME I OWE NOTHING AS I CANCELLED THIS ACCOUNT THEY (BELLA LABS) PULLED OUT OF MY CHECKING ACCOUNT $87.63 ON OCT. 13,2015 AND THIS COMPANY COLLECT PROS DATE IS AFTER BELLA LABS TOOK MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT , THIS IS A SCAM AND I DO NOT OWE THIS MONEY. AND I NEVER RECEIVED ANY PRODUCT. NOW THESE PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO GET MONEY FROM ME .i SPOKE WITH TAYLOR AT BELLA LABS AND SHE SAID I DO NOT OWE ANY MONEY.
I received a pink letter from Collect Pros stating I owed $332.50 for US Weekly Magazine of which I never ordered or received. When I called to inquire/dispute this debt, the person that answered the phone stated I just needed to go on line to dispute the debt then hung up! These people need to be reported and stopped. This is a horrible scam!!!
I saw an add by Dr Oz selling a product for skin care. I responded and ordered an initial trial of the 2 product. SkinCentrix face cream and Skin Centric Eye Serum. I received the 2 products with no information about their use. I paid 4.95 each for these samples and it was withdrawn from my debit card. Les than a month later the company attempted to withdraw 174.90 from my account for this product. I am thank ful that they were not able to access this money because I had lost my debit card and was no longer valid. Now I have received a collection demand from Collect Pros. I don't want this on my credit report. What to do? 2015-06-18

I have never ordered an magazines from US WEEKLY Magazine company. I emailed US WEEKLY MAGAZINE also, to let them know that I have never ORDERED any magazines from their company. Carbon copy to my email for proof of sending to them.
Collect Pros sent me a letter stating that I'd ordered Entertainment Weekly Magazine & owe them $299.25 immediately. Ive never ordered this magazine & when I try to dispute the debt it says its valid, which its obviously not. I have not received any info from Entertainment weekly magazine stating that I owe them money or have ordered their product. They have no info for me on file.
Received a bill for magazine Entertainment weekly $224.15) which i did not order. Rep claimed bill was valid but could not or would not provide origin of originally debt.. I am like the others who are complaining if i were ordering magazines it certainly would not be entertainment weekly, but i do need help in handling this disputes.
I received a collection notice from Collect Pros for an overdue balance on US Weekly Magazine for $332.50. I was told the magazines were ordered January 19, 2015.
I never received notice from the magazine company that payment was due. I never received any magazines titled US Weekly Magazine.
I spoke to someone from Collect Pros that told me I could reduce the amount owed if I would pay today.
I received a letter wanting me to pay 299.25 for entertainment weekly. Didn't order this mindless dribble nor am i going to pay this !!!!!! don't know how you get your data, you should be sued. Don't send me anymore of your non sense !!!
Collect pros sent me a letter saying i owe money for a magazine Entertainment weekly), which i have never ordered. I do not order magazines. Tried to contact them and could not.
I have been contacted by mail from a company called Collect Pros regarding a debt they say I owe for $365.75. The magazine is Entertainment Weekly. I have never ordered this magazine, nor did it ever deliver here erroneously. I will not be paying this debt.
The instructions say to call over the phone, online or by payment coupon to respond. I have called the number provided and you cannot speak to a person, it directs you to pay by website ot mail. I then went to the website for further contact and entered by reference number. The written response was that they have on voice mail a recording of my ordering this magazine and after their research have found it to be valid! Again asking me to pay the debt by website or mail. The date the magazine was ordered was also provided 10/14. This is not going to happen! I never called about ordering this magazine or any other ever.
Feeling that I was at a last end I decided to Google the company and found numerous fraud charges against them for the very same reason. I came across this site as well as many from the BBB inquiring about this company and fraudulent charges.
I would like this to be expunged from my credit report if it appears there and to have no further contact from them.
I recieved a notice in the mail from Collect pros saying i owe them 332.50 for a subscription for entertainment weekly.I at no time ordered this magazine and never recieved a copy of it.I called and talked to a lady names Alex and she didn't want to listen to me ,she just kept rambling on saying i owe this and i need to pay this bill.I finally yelled at her that she was not listening to what i had to say,and i told her i didn't order this magazine and i never got a copy of it.She then told me i had to go online to their web site to file a dispute and she hung up leaving me woundering what is going on.
I also received the same $332.50 bill from Collect Pros in the mail and when I called the number, some foreign lady (extremely noticeable by her accent) spoke to me and told me to go to www.collectpros.com/dispute website in which I was able to submit my complaint; but before I ended my conversation with the unknown stranger on the other end of the phone, I informed her that this is a scam and that it will be reported and she was quickly trying to get off of the phone with me; which is how I knew THEY WERE A SCAM! I plan to report this to the BBB. This is ridiculous! I don't even read magazine. Why do I need to order paper magazine when I can clearly google what I want to read for free! Seriously people! WTF! Excuse my language; however, I'm pissed that we have people like this trying to get money from people like us who work hard for the money we get! Stupid ascot scamming people! Someone noticed the same thing I noticed and that's a "fake" address from MA; NV; and a stamp from FL. Seriously! How stupid do they think we are!!!!!!!!! I know one thing and that's, "I'm not paying anything!" Trust me, the word "anything" wasn't my first choice word :).
I do not order magazines and would not order one that cost $365.75. This is stupid. I will not send money for any thing i did nbot order and did not receive.
I received a collention notice in the mail from collect pros out of Carson City, NV, stating that I owed $365.75 on Entertainment weekly that I have never ordered. I have never ordered any magazine's. I don't read them so I would not order them.
I have received a collection notice from Collection Pros for 274.05 for an subscription to Entertainment Weekly. I do not order Magazines of any kind! This is the first time I am hearing of this so called subscription and now they are telling me I need to pay this. Really!
I just received a collection letter from collect pros for U.S. weekly magazine. First I don't read magazines. Second the bill was for $274.05 I called the company to get information about when you supposedly ordered the magazine. They refused to give me any information. They told me to go to collectpros.com/dispute. This site doesn't exist. I know that this is fake because there is a flaw in my address.
Received a collection notice from COLLECT PROS? I'm being billed $332.50 for a magazine I've never seen or heard of before today; 5/26/2015 Entertainment weekly magazine.!!! Never ordered any MAGS. Don't read them! !!! DON'T NEED THEM!!! TRYING TO RIP ME OFF!!!
We received the same letter from these Sons of bitches for $365.75. Neither one of us get magazines in the mail. Please excuse my choice of words, but scammers like this, piss us off. They are from COLLECT PROS, 877-439-1825. They have it set up where you CAN NOT SPEAK TO NO ONE, just pay a bill that is bogess. Please stop these people. It is not right to do such as this. Thank you. Ref. #467056
Collect Pros Payments Made Eady Letter demanding payment of $99.90 for overdue balance for Skin Centric Face Serum. This is a bogus allegation. While address on envelope is Nevada, payment notice instructs to mail to Collect Pros P.O. Box 4133 Woburn, Massachusetts 01888-4133 Carson City Nevada
A COLLECTIONS COMPANY BY THE NAME OF COLLECTPROS.COM MAILED ME A STATEMENT OF A BILL, THAT READ THIS IS AN ATTEMP TO COLLECT A DEBT IN THE AMOUNT OF $365.75 FOR ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY MAGAZINE. tHIS COLLECTION LETTER HAD A PHONE NUMBER OF 1-877-439-1825. I CALLED SEVERAL TIMES AND NO ANSWER. THE COLLECTIONS LETTTER ADVISE ME TO SECURE A PAYMENT OF $365.75 ON THEIR WEBSITE. I ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT PAY FOR MERCHANDISE I DID NOT PURCHASE.
I DON'T EVEN READ ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY MAGAZINE, AND I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A MAGAZINE EITHER, MUCH LESS ORDER IT. THE COLLECTIONS LETTER GOES ON TO CLAIM I HAVE A 30 DAY GRACE PERIOD. IT ALSO ADVISES FOR DISPUTES OF COLLECTION DEBT TO GO TO WWW.COLLECTPROS/DISPUTE. THIS WEBSITE WAS NOT HELPFUL. AGAIN I CAME ACROSS MORE COMPLANITS, THAT THIS COMPANY IS FRAUDULENT FROM OTHER PEOPLE. THEY CLAIM THIS COMPANY ALSO SEND THEM A LETTER OF ATTEMTPING TO COLLECT A DEBT. I CAME ACROSS A PERSON WHO WAS BILLED BY COLLECTPROS FOR THE AMOUNT OF $356.75 AND THE PRODUCT WAS ALSO NEWSWEEKLY MAGAZINE AS WELL.
I LOOKED UP THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU RATING AND IT HAS AN F. THIS IS THE WORSE MARKING TO HAVE WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. I WILL CONTACT THIS SO CALLED ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY MAGAZINE IF THERE IS SUCH A BUSINESS IN EXISTENCE.
Collct pros said i owed 194.80 for skin care products from skincentric. I did not order them and do not owe them any money. Spoke with two representatives at skincentric and was told by them taht they have had a lot of compaints about collect pros. I will be sending collect pros a letter along with a copy to the attorney general in ma. This company needs to be stopped. They are bottom feeders.
I received a collection notice from Collect Pros alleging I owe $249.10 for a delinquent subscription with US Weekly Magazine. I have never subscribed to US Weekly Magazine. Because the return address outside the envelope was from Carson City, NV but where payment is to be sent is in Woburn, MA I immediately called customer service at US Weekly Magazine to see if they even use Collect Pros collection agency. The customer service representative told me they had received numerous calls from customers complaining of the same thing and to not contact Collect Pros because their legal dept was handling it since what Collect Pros was attempting was totally illegal. The rep also asked me to fax the statement I received to their legal dept at: 1-813-354-3383 which I will be doing.
So for any other customers who receive collection notices from Collect Pros stating they owe money Instead, call the company they are claiming you owe and find out if they know about this fraudulent activity and let their legal dept handle it for you.
I recieved a threating notice saying I owe 332.50 for a subscription of US Weekly Magazine. I have never ordered this magazine, never recieved this magazine, nor do I subscribe to magazines by mail. When I called the number on the bill, I was treated very rude, of which part of the conversation I could even understand, then hung up on, I called back, got another Rep. treated the same way, and hung up on again. This is a scam. What do I do about this, who do I report these people to, any advice? They are saying I owe this bill, and they will turn this bill in on my credit for collection, if not paid in 30 days. Looks like a scam to me, and a way to take atvantage of people
I recieved a letter in the mail from Collect Pros. The letter states that I owe $332.50 for a subscription to US Weekly Magazine and they are attempting to collect a debt.
Funny thing is, I NEVER ordered a subscription to US Weekly Magazine so of course I called the phone number listed on the letter to find out what's what.
After listening to their recorded message telling me all the ways I can pay, I finally got the option to speak with a representative. When the individual came online, he immediately asked me for my reference number. After giving my reference number, he then proceded to tell me that I owed $332.50 for a subscription to US Weekly Magazine and how would I like to pay for that.
Never once did he tell me, as required by law, that he was from a collection agency and that this was an attempt to collect a debt, blah, blah, blah.
That was tip off number one, that something wasn't right.
When I told him that I never subscribed to US Weekly, nor did I ever even receive a magazine, he went on to tell me that I had signed up for the magazine on June 29, 2014, going to my previous address and that I owe $332.50. I informed him, that I had just moved back to the States around that time after being overseas for the past 2 years and had yet to even move in!
When I pressed him further about wanting proof that I signed up for US Weekly Magazine, I was told that he didn't have the information that I was requesting and to go to collectpros.com/dispute to dispute the bill. It was then at that time, that he told me to have a good day and hung up on me.
I went to the above referenced website to dispute this ridiculous 'bill', low and behold, they were suddenly able to verify this debt saying the following (some items left out):
Debt Validation: Terms and Conditions of your Original Purchase - Purchased From: Levy 9 Consulting Magazines - The Terms and Conditions of this purchase are verified and include an audio recording of the customer agreeing to the terms and conditions of purchase.
WOW! Really?! Funny how when on the phone they couldn't verify anything, yet 2 minutes later, while disputing online, they say it's been verified and they have an audio recording of me agreeing!! Hmmmm, yeah, okay. If that's the case, why was I not able to listen to this recording when I asked for proof while on the phone?
That's okay, I've got the letter as well as screen shots on my phone of this supposed verification and will be contacting the authorities about this.
I received a notice in the mail today from this company stating that I had an unpaid debt.hundreds of dollars for a magazine subscription?? Lol, Yeah right! I have never had a magazine subscription for the magazine they stated, or any other for that matter! I will call the magazine subscription service directly and speak to them about it, just in case someone has taken out a subscription in my name, but it's doubtful! I will not deal with this company, will go straight to the source. I'm going to do some checking around but it seems like a total rip off to me!
As many others have stated, Collect Pros is sending letters stating monies are owed for magazine subscriptions that were never placed or ever received.
I received a collection notice as well for a supposedly past due bill to Entertainment Weekly in the amount of $274.05. I never placed an order to subscribe to this magazine, and never received the magazine.
I have notified the Carson City, NV sheriff's department, and will be contacting my local police department as well as the police department in Woburn, MA.
There trying to say i order some magazines in which i never did and never got a bill saying i did. When asked when i supposably order these magazines all they said was last year couldn't give a date. I'm not gonna pay $299.25 for something i never ordered. This is a scam!!!!!
Recieved a scam notice from COLLECT PROS payment made easy stating I owe $249.10 for US Weekly Magazine which I never ordered and never would order that kind of magazine.
COLLECT PROS state they are "attempting to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose." and "Our demand for payment does not affect your right to dispute this debt".
They gave an online secure payment address, and a phone #. They dated this notice 05/06/2015 and I recieved it 05/13/2015 and they expect payment within 30 days to pay or notify them to dispute the validity of this debt, or any portion of it within the same 30 day period.
I Have not sent in a payment and tried to call the number they gave but it only wants a payment and suggests to go to the online payment address or mail payment in. I do not intend to send them anything and this better NOT go on my credit report!!!
Received notice from a collection agency, Collect Pros - Payments Made Easy on 5/13/15. It stated "This is an attempt to collect a debt". Date of Notice: 5/6/15; Payment due date: 30 days of receipt; Overdue balance: $266.00; Product: US Weekly Magazine; Amount Due: $266.00
Reference Number: 536658
I've never heard of this magazine & would never purchase a magazine that would cost that much money! Collect Pros are demanding I pay this bill within 30 days! This is a scam & I have no intentions of sending them one dime.
Is there anything I should be doing on this or should I just ignore it? I'm sick to death of these types of threatning scams. I also don't want something like this to ruin my credit.
I received a letter from a collection agency called collect pros. They said that I owed them $365.75 for Us weekly. I never ordered the magazine nor did I receive it. That's terribly high for magazines.
I have live at the current address for about 1 and half years. I have always paid my rent on time. Last month by mistake I paid 50 dollar less for my rent but on time and did the same for this month. I just got mixed up on the amount. Instead of calling, texting or emailing me as she has in the past concerning different issues she sends me a certified letter in the mail stating that I owe her almost 600 dollars for late fees. I ask why she did not let me know before know because I always pay on time. She said because she did not have to. When I tried to talk to her about it she just wants the money. When I first moved in the toilet kept overflowing. I would get a plunger and work with it. When I ask her to fix it the plumber pulled out an old hat that been there for at least over a year. She made the statement that the hat looked like in had been the pipes for at least a year. When I reminded it that I had not been there for a year she recanted what she said. To keep down confusion I paid the bill. This landlord is money hungrier and don not care how she gets it. Labretha Mesquite Texas
I received a letter from collect pros 5/6/2015 that i owe them $365.75 for Us weekly magazine which needs to be paid in 30 day .I have never in my life read us weekly magazine, or bought that magazine. And what magazine cost that much .when you call its some guys voice and when you press 3 to dispute the claim the phone hangs up on you. And how are these people getting our information this is crazy. Please be careful with this company .
I just received this collection notice today 5-13-2015, and I have never ordered US Weekly Magazine, Neither have I ever received any bills from US Weekly Magazine! I just fixed my credit to where it should be, now I have to deal with these Jokers who are wanting $249.10 just out of the blue. Randy Buffalo mo.
COLLECT PROS is a collection agency trying to collect $365.75 for US Weekly Magazine that we never ordered. They sent us a pink piece of paper stating to send the money to COLLECT PROS, P O Box 4133, Woburn, MA. I called them using the phone number they gave on the notice. We never order magazines. The lady, Sandy said that we had to pay, but would give us a 20% discount.
I called the Better Business Bureau in Massachusetts. They told me there is no such company in Massachusetts, they are in Carson City, NV. They have an F Rating and it is a scam.
I researched the company on the Internet and came up with similar complaints that they are ripping people off and using scare tactics. I am going to notify our TV Stations in San Antonio, TX and have them make people aware of this scam.
Called US weekly and they told me they have received numerous complaints, that collect pros is a scam and to disregard the notice.
Got a collection letter in the mail from collect pros saying I owed US weekly $274.05 but I've never had a subscription. I called US weekly and they told me they have received numerous complaints about collect pros, that they are scammers and to disregard the collection notice. I called collect pros and asked why I'm being charged for a magazine I never subscribed to. They said they just send the letters but I do owe them money. I then told collect pros I contacted US weekly and US weekly told me collect pros were scammers. They told me to have a nice day and hung up.
Collect Pros Reviews

Letter is typed on a Pink sheet of paper.
This company sent me a bill for $332.50 and said I was overdue for the product Entertainment Weekly Magazine.
I have never subscribed to this magazine, nor have I ever read it.
SOBs
COLLECT PROS
We received the same letter from these Sons of bitches for $365.75. Neither one of us get magazines in the mail. Please excuse my choice of words, but scammers like this, piss us off. They are from COLLECT PROS, 877-439-1825. They have it set up where you CAN NOT SPEAK TO NO ONE, just pay a bill that is bogess. Please stop these people. It is not right to do such as this. Thank you. Ref. #467056
I was sent a bill for $299.25 for entertainment weekly.I never ordered entertainment weekly.
Collect pros are trying to get me to pay over $300. For magazines, don't even order them.
What ever you do, DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!!

I would appreciate any advice you could give me.
I just fixed my credit to where it should be, now I have to deal with these Jokers who are wanting $249.10 just out of the blue. Randy Buffalo mo.
