I am a Realtor and switched Brokerages to CB. I was aware of their fee and the commission split....fine. After 3 months I realized that I was not a good fit for the company,,,they were fine but I felt that I would be better off at a Boutique style establishment and I terminated my contract,
Several weeks later, I began receiving notices that I owed them $395 for "Legal Representation" After each letter I wrote back to the office that sent them and received no response. Finally, after the third letter I wrote, someone from the Florida office told me to contact the Broker at my original office. I did! I wrote him a letter explaining that I felt I did not owe him the money,
Fast forward, I receive a letter from a collection company. Now, I have written the collection company explaining that this money is not owed.
CB has refused to engage in any type of conversation with me and PROVE that I owe them the money. In fact, their contract stipulates that there is a arbitration agreement which they clearly violated. I feel I must at this time litigate this
Do yourself a favor and AVOID working with CB at least the Atlanta office with Colin Elingson.
