We gave 60 day notice - moved out and heard nothing from this corrupt outfit - after 90 days we got a notice from a debt collector for 2586.00. They kept our 1100. Deposit. House was spotless and yard freshly mowed when we moved out. no explanation WHATSOEVER where this 2586 is for?
These were the rudest, most abrasive people pretending to be a Christian company. "COG" child of God is their name and that is where any semblance of Christianity ends.
Anyone one considering leasing from them RUN AWAY fast! Plenty of other legitimate companies that will abide by the rules of property management.
if you are a property owner - this is not the kin dog company you need to entrust your property to. They are unprofessional and have no knowledge of how to run a business.
Btw we we lived there for 18 months and never once were even 1 day late on rent. We took care of that house as our own and when they came for the keys the house had just been professionally cleaned and yard work done same day. The only thing we didnt do we're carpet cleaning in two bedrooms.
I will be hiring a real estate attorney to look into this matter - as a realtor myself I do know there are specific guidelines they failed to follow.
I rented from COG in 2005 when I was pregnant, it was the middle of summer and HOT. The middle of July I am 8 monthe in and the heat&air unit goes out, no house fan no ac and nobody would fix it. They told me to turn on the window ac units 2 tiny little units for a 3 bedroom house. By the following month the house smelled of mold from the window units, the combination of too hot and too cold made mold when my daughter was born and I could not keep her in the only bedroom with air conditioning, i requested a different property their exact words were we can't help you. I gave them notice and moved out even leaving them a fridge when there wasn't one to begin with. The home was cleaner then when I moved in, so believe me I was supprised when I got a collection letter saying I owe them 2250 almost 6 years later.
