I responded to an online support service to fix issues with my computer from malware and viruses. After some discussion they offered a service for $128 for a year to address any problems. the technician worked my desktop remotely and got the computer fixed. she installed some software with short cuts to clean the computer and address issues that may come up.
About 2 days later the computer started acting up again and I started using some of the programs to clean. Fixes were short term and I though I would call the support line when I got time. About ten days later I tried one of the programs they loaded on my computer only to find it stopped short of finishing the cleaning and offering a more advanced version for more money.
I got on the phone to the help line 855 765 6711 only to be told that what they had sold me was for an event not for the year coverage as stated. Now they wanted more money for a year coverage. I refused to be conned again and told them to check their " recording for quality assurance".
These folks are no better than the malware companies they claim to offer protection from. They got my money but they will not get more. I reported them to the bank card company so no further charges could be made.
Systweak support or Cleverbridge have a good ripoff scam and it cost me money and time to learn this lesson. I hope others benefit from this report and avoid this company. Had they been up front with their cost, I would have gone another direction to get the computer fixed.
