Foster advertized a 1969 El Camino on E Bay for sale. I sent him an e-mail with my interest to purchase, given the discreption of the vehicle he posted.
Through e-mails, text messages, phone calls, of which I have copies. I decided to purchase the vehicle.
I wired funds to Robert Foster,s bank, and car was shipped to me.
Upon receiving the El Camino, I discovered his discription of the vehicle was all false.

Recent Frame off restoration: This was not a recent frame off restoration.
Big Boy Stroker crate engine racing motor over 600 HP. He was pretty sure it was a 496 cubic in motor: I ran the engine block numbers, It's a 1967 / 327 /2 bolt main 210 HP that came out of a Camaro. Engine Code 3914678 Suffix Code ME
496 Stroker engine complete cost around 10k. Engine I received 327 can be purchased in any junk yard for less than $500. It has had work done to it, but not anywhere near 600 HP. Reason I bought car, was for the big engine.
Carburator advertized was a Holley Double pumper. I received a Dual inlet Holley. Big differance !
At this time, car is not legal on the street. 4 Headlights. only 2 work. Rear end has no lights at all. just lenses. No usable wiring. no turn signals, brake lights etc.
Foster will not return any calls, e-mails or text messages.
I paid 10k to much for this car. Buyers need to be aware of this guy.
I will be posting up on this fraudster soon as well
Too much to detail at the moment, but MAYBE, just maybe my additional complaint will save others from getting scammed by this shyster, and in due time, PUT THIS GUY OUT OF BUSINESS!!!
At the moment (June 2, 2016), I have filed my complaint with Paypal for the $1000 deposit he stole from me. He has till June 11th to respond, and if he fails to do so, Paypal will refund me the monies. Whether he does or not, I will be reaching out to this site...Rip Off Report (as I see you did as well), the Florida Attorney General's office, the BBB, and hey...time will tell who else.
I also plan on listing the car on Ebay, with HIS name associated with it in the write up and the story line. There will be plenty who will view the listing when they search not just the car, but his NEW Ebay name as of May 26, 2016 BTW, and prayerfully it will save someone some pain, suffering, and $$$ in the process.
I have already spoken with two other REPUTABLE classic car dealers and made mention of this guy. I obviously didn't go into great detail, but told them my main concern is in dealing with a reputable business, as I was just scammed on a classic car purchase.
