This is the crappiest most dishonest repair business ever! The place is so badly run and no one has any idea what is going on there but they are the only place close to where I work so I used them several times for oil changes … just oil changes! I would never have used them for anything else! But still they managed to screw everything up so badly. My engine light went on and went to check my oil. There was a huge piece of the cap missing. So big it almost couldn’t be put back on. Clark’s Tire was the only place that had touched the car in over a year, and they had done three oil changes. I had never touched anything under the hood myself either. Of course they denied doing it and actually had the nerve to accuse me of doing it myself. I was so furious but there was not much I could do to prove they had done it. The new mechanic I went to was worried that the missing chunk of plastic might have fallen into the reservoir and melted in there. Sure enough that is what happened and gummed up the whole system. There are apparently a few things he can do to try and clean it out but I can tell from the way it runs and feels that my car is done with. Totally!! Thanks you worthless lying pieces of crap at Clark’s Tire!!!
And what else did they do wrong and lie about? 1. Never changed the air filter but charged me for it. My new guy said it looked like it hadn’t been changed in 50,000 miles. 2. Same thing with my tires that were never rotated. They now have some really abnormal wear and the warranty will not apply. 3. They broke the clip that holds mt hood support thing in place. Not expensive to replace but just another example of how unprofessional and shady they are.
When you drive by this place you might see a lot of cars [parked there and think that means they are busy. Wrong!! Those are cars that have been there for weeks and they cannot figure out how to fix and have been sitting there forever. I have since read reviews and talked to many others who have had very serious problems with this place destroying their cars. PLEASE do not believe all the fake positive reviews this place posts for itself. Any real person who has been three will tell you to STAY AWAY from Clark’s Tire and Auto!!
