I would like the public to know what mortgage company NOT to go with. CitiMortgage Inc. is one of worst mortgage company to have because of their deceptive way of running thier bank. Their Damage Claims Dept. does what no other company I've heard of does in the way they process YOUR insurance claim check. If you had a loss claim check sent to you, you in turn have to send it to CitiMortgage Inc. Property Damage Claims Dept. for them to take first 3 to 5 days to process. And anything else administrative takes 7 days, in which, when will I receive my check who know's? They do this so they can deposit YOUR claim check and make interest from investing it, so the longer they keep your check the longer they are making money from YOUR claims check. They are also asociated with Assurant Insurance, which I hope you don't have for an insurance company, if you do DROP them now, because it's a nightmare in getting YOUR insurance check, paid to you if you have a loss claim. This is where insuranceclaimcheck.com comes in, AKA Assurant, CitiMortgage tells you where to look up about your claim check. They say it's sent out to you within 6 days, when really does it? They will tell you that, while your waiting 6 weeks, instead of 6 days before you really get your check. Florence from South Carolina put it so well when she put in her report. Thanks Florence you are so right. My contractor has finished our roof and wants to get paid which I can't pay him because I haven't even gotten the check yet myself. Then it has to go into my bank for 2 days before I can even touch it. When can I tell him he's going to get paid? I don't know myself. Me and my husband would also like to get paid since CitiMortgage told us we need to, temporary, get the roof fixed so that there is no more damage done inside our home. We are poor and can't afford to wait long for OUR money either. I was told we would get reimbursed for that money over a month ago. Talk about brain waves, we have been going through it for month's now. I will be filing official complainst also with the State Banking and Insurance Regulatory agencies against these slickers. I am also going to cotact a lawyer so I can try to file a lawsuit against these people.
I first reached out to Citimortgage on 6/17/14 to refinance our home. My husband and I were pre-approved with a 4.5% interest rate. My credit score was 643 and my husbands was in the high 680s. We were told that we had to pay $500 up front to complete the appraisal on the home along with the title search and to pull our credit. The $500 was taken from my account and the appraisal took place. We supplied Citimortgage with all the necessary paperwork approving them to pull our credit.
After the $500 was taken, our credit was pulled. Citimortgage noticed that it was appearing on my credit report that I had filed a dispute with Home Depot and that there was "Dispute" verbiage on my credit report that had to be removed before Citimortgage would close on my refinance. I asked what did my Home Depot account have to do with my refinance. I was told because Home Depot is serviced by Citibank and they would not close along as their was a dispute against them. I feel that it is a violation of my rights to dispute what I felt was incorrect on my credit report.
Realizing that Citimortgage has now taken my $500, now they will not close until I remove the dispute, I contacted each of the credit reporting agencies and asked that the verbiage be removed. I confirmed with each agency that the verbiage had been removed. I even had Thomas Bush with Citimortgage on the phone with me to confirm it had been removed. Citimortgage pulled my credit report again on 8/5/14, even though I did not authorize a second pull. I was told by Citimortgage that in order for them to close on my refinance, they had to confirm that the verbiage had been removed and would have to pull my credit report to do so. The credit reporting agencies sent me a hard copy of my report and I emailed that to my loan rep - Thomas Bush with Citimortgage. I was told it was sent to the underwriters and I would have to wait because there was a backlog
On September 4, I get another alert from my credit report stating that my credit had been pulled again by Citimortgage. Now on my report this now shows 3 times that my credit report has been pulled. On my husbands, it now shows as 9 different entries. I contacted CitiMortgage and spoke to my original loan officer Jeff Fraser and was told that now we have a problem. The dispute remarks are showing again on my credit report and now my husbands credit score has now dropped down to 619, which now is conveniently 1 point below their minimum requirements. They have also increased the interest rate from 4.5% to 5.5% and according to Jeff Fraser - they are not even sure they can do the loan now.
I feel that Citimortgage violated my rights to dispute any credit reports. They took my money and now have dropped our credit ratings almost to the point where we cannot refinance at any place. They pulled our credit report multiple times without our permission.
This company is by far the WORST company I have ever dealt with.
We requested help from Citimortgage to complete a Short Sale of our clients property located in Denver Colorado. Everything was complete, the short sale package included all documents requested by Citimortgage to complete de package and approve the short sale of our clients property. We got in contact with Mr. Ruben Pea and his boss Philip Brewer working as manager in Citimortgage and we requested the short sale approval.
After a month Mr. Ruben Pea called me stating that Citimortgage wanted Our client to pay $20,000 thousand dollars to Citimortgage to release their lien that is the second lien, since the first lien holder, another respectable financial institution accepted the short sale and gave us the letter of authorization.
Now our client is going to FORECLOSURE due to CITIMORTGAGE since they dont want to help at all. Citimortgage is the worst bank to deal with pre foreclosure sales, dont help, the phone almost always disconects without answering its really bad.
Ruben Pena from Citimortgage can be reached at 866 520 5499 ext 73134, this is the Venezuelan H1B visa employee who is taking care of this issues at Citimortgage and his boss Philip Brewer's phone number is 816 505 6713 who probably changed his phone number since he doesnt want to be disturbed all with bailout money.
