Dodge Brand, Chrysler Group LLC TIM KUNISKISPresident and Chief Executive Officer - Dodge Brand, Chrysler Group LLC Computer in my truck replaced 5 or 6 times Dodge 1500 Customer Service Rude, will not help me , Spent 3 hours on phone no help Auburn
Since I purchased my Dodge 1500 , IT Runs great, the only problem that i have had is the computer in the truck gets shorted out about every 2 years or so- when this happens, it turns on the engine light... and then It will not pass the smog test. While it was under warranty, it was not a problem getting it replaced at the dealship. After the waranty expired, I had to call DOdge Chylser customer service and explain how it shorts out about every 2 years, after I explain how it Keeps shoring out they agreed to get me a new computer for my truck , this has happened several times. Each time its at the dealership, they get paid by the DODGE CHRYSLER and I dont pay anything, each time, the dealerships have told me why this keeps happening and PROMISE that I wont be back in a few years- and every single time, usually 2 -3 years later, the engine light comes on and I discover that they never fixed the reason computer in my truck shorts out-
I called when the light came on again in Sept 2014, all I did was get the run around, they would pull up my records under my name and show someone elses vehical with my name and address
when the light went off , I gave up and figured it was ok, but recently the light came back on, and I took vehical to the shop they did diagnostic on it and confirmed that the computer once again ! needed to be replaced
I have only put abour 15 to 20 thousand miles - since the last computer was put in this last time lasted about a year longer than the previous ones
The customer service people yesterday kept me on the phone about 4 hours because i WOULD get disconected, transfered to the wrong person./ each time I talked to dodge they would hang up on me and refuse to let me talk to the managment that could help me, they refused to even take my phone number and have managers call me back
I have been a dodge owner since the late 1980s , never have i ever been so disapointed in customer service than I am now. I explained to them that I am am disabled and that I need my vehical, cant drive it and they seemed to think that was funny and actuall laughed at me when I explained
I purchased a brand new 2015 Chrysler 200 the last day of the month in November 2014. At the end of February 2015 I had the 200 for roughly three months when I had put the car in drive and it would not drive. Later on during that day I had put it in reverse and it would not reverse.
As I was driving down highway 75 in Dallas my car was in drive and would not drive at all. My foot was pressed down on the gas and the car would not move. The next day I took my car to Chrysler dealership where I purchased the car and they said nothing was wrong with the car. While they still had my car in the shop I received an email from Chrysler stating there was a recall on the car. They preformed whatever needed to be done for the recall and again said nothing was wrong with my transmission. (car in shop two days)
Days later the car did the same thing. It would be in drive and not drive. Or be in reverse and drive forward. This time I took my car to the Chrysler dealership of Lovefield. After inspecting the vehicle and talking to Chrysler they determined that the transmission in my car needed to be replaced. (car in shop 3 weeks)
A few weeks after getting my car back it started doing the same thing. It would be in drive and not drive. I took the car back to the Lovefield location. After being in the shop for weeks they determined it was something with the air bag. (car in shop 3 weeks) When the tow truck company came to get my stalled car, they hit my car. I had to get a new bumper and they had to paint the back of my new car. While my car was either at the paint shop or the service department in Chrysler my phone mount was taken from my car and is yet to be replaced. I have been without my car mount for almost two months now and the dealership said they would replace it.
I have a case open with Chrysler and at first they said they would pay one car payment for me ($360 dollars). I use my car to drive for Uber on the weekends and have been without the new car I have been paying for for months now and that's all they wanted to give me. On top of all the days i have had to miss work from my full time job to take the car to the shop and with it being stalled on the side of the rode. Now, they are saying I can trade my car in for another Chrysler and they will give me $2,000 to put towards the new car I purchase. I would be upside down on my loan and $2,000 would barely be enough to cover the taxes and title on a new car. And there will be a finance charge. This entire experience has been a joke. Everytime I go to the dealership no one knows whats going on. No one knew where my bumper was when they told me to come in on a certain day and time. The car is a lemon!
I purchased 2013 Jeep Patriot Latitude in January of 2013. Since the car was purchased, I have had nothing but problems. The first issue was that the windshield wipers kept turning on by themselves. I took the car back to the dealership's service department only to be told that a ''star case'' was made. No resolution. The second issue that occurred was where the car completely stalled out at 10 MPH which nearly caused a terrible accident that could have injured myself and my 9 year old daughter. I had to turn the car off, wait and then turn it back on. The car stalled again. After 20 minutes of waiting, the car began to drive as normal. I took the car back to the dealership AGAIN. The service manager kept my Jeep for the entire day (keep in mind that they do not even issue rentals) and called to tell me that ANOTHER STAR CASE was made. After my third visit for the stalling issue and for the windshield wipers, the dealership finally decided to change the wipers relay switch which seemed to stop the problem. After 5 visits for the stalling issue, there still has not been any resolution. I have contacted Jeep over three times, via phone and by the email on the site and still have yet to be contacted from the ''representative in one business day.'' I am furious that I cannot get any type of satisfactory service. I will NEVER purchase another Chrysler product. I have began exploring other options for a new vehicle which is sad being that I am a single father who just needs reliable transportation to provide for his daughter. Oh by the way, today is 5/15/15, I had to take my Jeep in to the service dealership at 10:15AM EST for yet another diagnostic check.
Chrysler warranty LIFETIME NEW VEHICLE UPGRADE PLAN is not a lifetime warranty it is limited by both time and mileage. What a ripoff! I believed I had a lifetime warranty to match the lifetime for drive train I had with my 2008 Jeep Patriot, instead it expires in December.
I am the original owner and purchased a new vehicle lifetime warranty for my 2008 Jeep Patriot which also has lifetime drive train warranty from chrysler. Unfortunately lifetime does not mean lifetime to MOPAR/Chrysler/Jeep in spite of the FAQ indication that it does.
Warranty is LIFETIME NEW VEHICLE MAXIMUM CARE UPGRADE PLAN
From FAQ on the site:
A: MoparĀ® Vehicle Protection is offered with a wide variety of time and mileage terms, typically up to 7 years and 100,000 miles. Lifetime plans have no time limit on mechanical coverage, but only for the original owner; they are not transferable unless required by state law.
We purchased this vehicle from a dealer in north carolina, from the beginning we had issues and they assured us that this would not happen again. After a month went by it happened again. As I was pulling onto the interstate the car cut off with oncoming traffic, I had to pray that I didnt get hit. Then when i finally got it to the chrysler dealership they told me I had to pay for this box which cost 700.00. And this incident happen several times after that.
Then when I notified the dealer no one did anything to help us so we decided to let the car go ( repo) voluntarily because that car was a risk It was a Chrysler 200 2011 Piece of worthless junk Caution to all stay away. Then they put the 300 on recall and didnt put the 200 they are the one who need it
Chrysler failed to provide the required information regarding the inspection requirement of the lifetime limited powertrain warranty that came with my 2007 Dodge Magnum. I did not have any knowledge of the inspection and it is not in my warranty booklet, and now Chrysler has terminated my coverage due to missing the inspection. Chrysler is violating the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act and numerous FTC regulations yet refuses to reinstate my warranty. The BBB and FTC have not been helpful, and complaints to Chrysler corporate have resulted in my being called a liar and an outright refusal of my simple request to have the warranty reinstated.
