I've been initiated in to the fraud club!! I JUST got off the phone with one supposid "Christopher Watkins". I've been researching scams and was on the look out for the signs. Sure enough it was the same spill as with the other two comments ONLY he didn't get past "go to CVS". I flipped!! And before he cold be rude to me, I remember the words coming out of my mouth...Bottom feeding maggot....twat waffle...get a life...before I finally hung up!! :) I followed that with a colorful email imploring them to NEVER contact me again.
I received an e-mail identifying this same phone number and purporting to be from Citibank. Scam clues include spelling errors(Citi Bank, instead of Citibank) and grammatical errors. Included in the scam pitch is a loan offer with a 'guarantee' or 'proof of ability to pay' fee via guaranteed funds prior to receiving the loan.
I was told that I was approved for a loan up to 10,000 and I need a loan to reply, I replied I was asked to make sure I could pay back the amount and was asked to put money on a vanilla card and show proof of my monthly payment of 114. I told the person that I've never heard of that they seem to get upset and stated they didnt have time for games, I replied a real loan officer doesn't speak in that manner, I then received a very unpleasant reply.
