Ken Christensen was hired as a political fundraising consultant. I conducted several interviews over the phone before flying him from Washington, DC to Idaho as a campaign fundraiser. Ken assured me that with his extensive list of over 10,000 democratic donors that we would at bare minimum raise at least twice his fee.
Upon arrival our first instruction was to go to Staples and purchase plastic totes, pens, staplers, clip boards and miscellaneous office supplies. The total purchase was over $500.00 which was not included in his $12,000.00 per month fee. Ken arrived with no supplies, no support and no way of successfully raising political contributions.
We returned to the campaign office to set-up his system which at best is juvenile and archaic. We were then instructed to develop a script, which he did not provide, develop a list, which he did not provide and make calls to potential contributors. His entire service was a method of organizing the calls prior to and after they had been made.
I terminated his contract early because his service was wholly inadequate and an absurd waste of time at which point he billed me $12,000.00 in advance for the next months billing as per the terms of his contract.
Ken Christensen works on his own, he has no backup, he has no assistant and he does not come with a list of viable contributors. Ken Christensen was the worst campaign strategist that I could have included in our efforts to run a United States Senate campaign.
