I worked at GE Home Security as a "door knocker" for just a couple weeks. I had another job which is where I met Mr. Murphy. I was very reluctant to quit that job, but he assured me that I would be making plenty more money working with him. I was 19 at the time and had no family in the same time zone as I. I quit my job and worked with Chris. He seemed trustworthy to a gullible young person like me. But he lied to me and this situation put me in a lot of debt not being able to pay my bills. I worked for two weeks. He had me watch the others knocking on doors but only rarely let me knock. He told me he would pay me even if I didn't sell the service. It was hard to sell sitting in the truck. Chris Murphy never paid me. I learned a valuable lesson about not trusting people, for which I am thankful, but shouldn't have to learn that from an "employer" not paying me for doing a job that I hated. Luckily it didn't last long, but like I said it put me back a lot and I had no help. As a side note- the company called people who owed money to them and were very mean to them. They would also go to people's houses daily to collect money. It was unprofessional, rude, and in my opinion very intrusive. I heard Chris threaten to sue people numerous times. I don't recommend getting involved with Chris or the company in any way.
