If you're planning on attending a concert for the band Chicago, do NOT purchase the VIP Meet & Greet packages. It is a misleading & complete rip-off in my opinion. You will pay appx $250 per person extra, over & above what the over-priced $125 tickets cost, plus you have to join the fan club to get them, which is almost $50. After paying appx $800 for 2 tickets & the so-called VIP Meet & Greet package for 2, heres what you get:
1) You have to be at the venue over 2 hours early
2) Then you may have to wait another 30 minutes afterward because musicians are hardly ever on-time to do anything.
3) You get in line to take a picture with the band. You may have a few seconds to shake 1 or 2 hands with bandmembers, but no discussions with them & no autographs should be expected.
4) They will take your picture using their camera (which you will be able to download online later) & then they will give you a gift bag of about $10 worth of junk in my opinion --- this on top of the appx #10 worth of junk by mail you get when you join the fan club for almost $50.
5) Then they hurry you off & that's it. No true Meet & Greet, no taking pics or video with you own phone/camera, no autographs, no talking to the bandmembers or asking them questions, no backstage passes, no refreshments --- nothing. Just a quick pic with the band & maybe a couple of handshakes.
6) Don't buy it. It's not a real Meet & Greet --- it's simply a very-expensive band picture & a way for someone to make a lot of money selling it.
