I puchased a Chiappa CIR-22-M1 rifle brand new from Gander Mountain in Kalamazoo Mi. When I got the rifle home I cleaned and inspected the gun before taking it to the range. I tested the gun with four major brands of ammo, with three brands failing to feed/jamming. The fourth brand functioned OK until the sixth shot, Then the gun slamfired blowing the magazine out of the gun spraying me with debries. I took the gun back to Gander Mountain the next day and was told by the manager that there are no refunds or replacement because I had not purchased an extended warranty.
They then sent the gun to their gunsmith who could not make repairs, then they sent the gun back to Chiappa. I emailed and talked to staff at Chiappa who said they would make things right, after three months, multiple emails and phone calls Gander finally refunded my money. Several weeks later Chiappa emailed me that they had decided to repalce the gun (they found a problem with the machining on the chamber) I told Chiappa that if I had built a gun that blew up in a customers face I would have stayed after that one.
