Contacted Checkpeople through the internet. I was looking to find a name for a harrasing phone call. They said they had the number and I put in my credit card. I never recieved the info and I emailed them. I recieved a reply saying I would be contacted within 24 hours. That didn't happen. They then started billing my credit card. After they locked me in I recieved a communication that they were sorry they didn't have the info. But still kept Billing me. This place is a scam. Avoid them.
Checkpeople.com is a criminal company on the internet based supposedly in CAlifornia.
They collect your credit card number and place fraudulent unauthorized charges.
This is how it works: they offer to reverse a phone number and provide the name for the number but once you give the credit card for a charge of 1.00 a window will pop-up on their site stating that the card was not accepted, once you type it again, another $1.00 is placed on your card and hoping that you would not spend the time on line to complain over 1.00 charged twice to your card, they go ahead and placed other unrelated, unauthorized charges in your card.
My advise is to stay clear from this company which sooner or later will be closed down.
I have never ever used this service, yet they keep billing my Visa card $29.00 for the last two months. I never use this card on the internet. Have no idea how they got my number. I live alone and no one has use of my card or computer. Fraud.
