As a Chase Bank customer I was encouraged to sign up with Chase Paymentech in order to process credit card payments. My needs were slightly unusual, in that I only process a few credit card payments a year, but they are for large sums ( four figures).
I negotiated a monthly fee of $5 with Ernest Pratt of ChasePaymentech as I agreed that $60 a year was a reasonable amount to pay for the facility . However, ChasePaymentech then started withdrawing $30 a month. I hadn't noticed this as the account was effectively dormant. The next thing I know is that Chase.com are charging me overdraft fees caused by ChasePaymentech's unauthorised withdrawals.
I then entered the nightmare of trying to get Chase to admit to another department of Chase that they were overcharging me and causing the overdraft situation. When you remember what this bunch did in the run-up to 2008 and no-one went to prison, you'll realize how futile a situation this is.
This company is ethically unsound from top to bottom. Beware.
