I was referred to Charleston ENT by my college's student health services, due to excessive vertigo. Despite my insistence that my hearing was fine, I was given a hearing test at the facility. I only saw the doctor himself for two minutes, and he told me nothing more than to come back if it didn't resolve itself in a few weeks. He didn't even look in my ears. A nurse also told me that my hearing was fine (to which I thought, "well duh, I knew that." On leaving, I was told to pay 304.37 dollars (none of which was covered by my insurance, unfortunately). I was a bit surprised at the cost, since they didn't really do anything, but I managed to pay it upfront. A month later, I just received ANOTHER bill from Charleston ENT, for an additional 119.38 dollars. Apparently, the first bill was just for those two minutes with the doctor, and this bill was for the hearing tests I didn't want, need, or ask for. They are planning on extorting as much money from me as they can, and I have no legal recourse. I was not told that I would be charged these exuberant fees for their so-called "services", and was not satisfied at all with the care they showed towards me. They didn't even spell my name correctly on my bill! Please, do not go to Charleston ENT. They only care about money, not their patients. They will wring you dry without solving any of your problems.
