We were called by J.R., owner of Chapa Construction Contracting to offload a cement hopper. When we got there the weight was double what J.R. had stated and he had no help to rig it (as he said he would). His worker destroyed some of our rigging straps, and since there was no one there to help (with the exception of the driver of any company that delivered it to his site). The job took double the time and when it came time for him to pay us he argued the amount. He reluctantly wrote us a check, but by the time we went to HIS bank to verify funds he had put a stop payment on the check. When we contacted him he said we ripped him off, which of course was not the case. When we threatened to turn his bad check into the attorney general's office he said he'd have to make a deposit to cover it. When i pointed out that he wrote a bad check, knowing that the funds weren't available it gave us even more reason to go after him and get more people involved. He hung up on me! Dont ever do business with this guy, he'll rip you off, then blame you for it! We are still chasing him down for the money.
