I signed up for a monthly subscription to their braindumps site but when i wanted to cancel, I found out that they will not let you cancel unless you have paid for 3 months even though they offer a quarterly sub. In order to cancel before 3 months, you can pay them an extortion fee of 60 dollars for "Handling fees".
As for their cancel subscription form, instead of the usual (99/100 times online) quick cancel form, they require you to print out a pdf form, fill it out and check a box saying you agree to the billing ToC, upload it specifically as jpg and wait for them to approve of the cancel request before you can continue. So far i have not received any notification of what to expect when/if they do approve my cancellation form.
When I signed up initially, i looked through their billing T&C before continuing and saw nothing of this 3 month required subscription time. All that their T&C says is:
"Customer Hereby Agrees to the minimum Duration of Cancellation for Subscription. Customer also agree to complete the Cancellation of Subscription forma Manually and upload."
Since there was no stated "Duration of Cancellation for Subscription", this led me then to think it was meant to deter people who sign up for a day, download some stuff and cancel immediately. I inended to keep my sub for the whole month and also intended on cancelling after that month and my exam. I had no need to keep it after my exam, but refused to pay 60 additional dollars to cancel 'early'.
When I attempted to cancel the 1 month service I was given a 3 months required dialogue, but could cancel for a 59.00 fee.
There was nothing indicated in the sited activation or policy. I have contacted the customer service and they directed me to pay the cancelation fee or they will continue the service. Any atempt to update the ticket or get information about why this policy was not included in the setup policy has been unanswered.
Brought iphone based software and now it is all bad, getting extorted to either upgrade and pay heavily or just quit...have to follow the later course, but time to improvise...
I paid for a life time license to their software a few years back... this year they went to this monthly fee and all the sudden my license is no longer valid... Had emailed the company several times and they are ignoring all my requests... If this were an American Company these jerks would have a class action suit on their hands .... I've used them for years... Idk what criminal took over Avanset but they are robbing everyone and ruining a great test prep tool....
Paid for security+ exam practice (Exam collection), got a discount for full year, cancelled first practice, paid for the viewer that you have to have to view the expensive practices, after finding out how much it would be monthly, cancelled the subscription for the viewer (July 2014) , no word from Avanset, Exam Collection, Global Simulators or Certplex, its been three months, they keep taking monthly subscription from my credit card (September 2014).
I am disputing their charges with my bank (BOA) thats always given me terific service, but I'm wondering should I just get a new credit card?...
This company will charge you a cancellation fee for any membership plan lasting less than 3 months. So if you do sign up for a $50.00/a month, you will end up paying at least $50 + a $59.99 for a total of $109.99 for one month at a minimum. There is no where in their billing policy which states the actual fee. The only thing even hinting a fee is a couple paragrpahs in their billing policy area, listed below.
10. Recurring Payment
10.1 Where Recurring payment is made by credit card the Customer shall provide full credit card data (cardholder name, card number, expiry date, security code) when placing the order and thereby declares his/her/its agreement to Certplex Ltd.'s taking payment for the order via the relevant credit card company, in particular in case of internet. Customer Hereby Agrees to the minimum Duration of Cancellation for Subscription. Customer also agree to complete the Cancellation of Subscription forma Manually and upload.
10.2 Once a customer purchases the yearly subscription for Unlimited Access, it can only be changed to quarterly subscription, hence, a customer must pay the amount of quarterly subscription if he wants to reduce the tenure of his Yearly Unlimited Access, once purchased.
So if you are going to be using their service for the long haul, say 3 months or more, you will be getting better pricing. If you plan up on signing up for this serivce for less than 3 months be prepaired to pay extra! If Certplex Ltd just came out and told us that there would be an extra fee and what that fee was upfront, this company would be saving people a lot of trouble. They may even get some customers to go with a longer plan since the customer would be getting a lower monthly fee and Certiplex might even make a little more money.
Also I suggest using third party VCE software, because the software they sell also expires. Their VCE is not a product that you get to keep, it is a subscription based product and can cost upwards of $20-30 a month to use.

Predatory cancellation policy practices, buyer beware.
